Personal History

(1) Cultural influence in boyhood

Mi Qiaoming was born in Dalian City, Liaoning Province. His grandparents were old Red Army soldiers. He grew up in a military compound and received traditional Chinese cultural influence. , proficient in piano, chess, calligraphy and painting. Not only that, she also learned to sing Huangmei Opera from her grandmother and practiced calligraphy from her grandfather, which gave her a deeper understanding of Chinese quintessence culture. This also laid the foundation for her later creation of the "Peking Opera Character Series" oil paintings.

Mi Qiaoming has always been a good student in the class during elementary school. Not only did he have excellent academic performance, he also received training in traditional Chinese painting, relief sculpture, printmaking, gouache, watercolor and other media creations. He also drew cartoons for newspapers. Earn royalties. At that time, she was very talented in Chinese painting and calligraphy, and won many awards. These rare "child skills" that she had learned have deeply influenced Mi Qiaoming's creative techniques, and were perfectly displayed in the "Peking Opera Character Series" oil paintings. To apply his strengths. Later, she was admitted to Dalian No. 15 Middle School (Art Junior High School) with excellent results. Although she was introverted, she was very thoughtful: she created a large number of "pointillist" paintings in the class and began to imitate the French Impressionist master Monet. And become a model for teachers to teach. At the age of 14, she once went to Shenyang to take the college entrance examination without telling the teacher, and got a professional notice from Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts. You know, this is a professional art major that many art students have to prepare for for several years. College, but its door was open to Mi Qiaoming.

In 2004, the National Art Museum of China in Beijing held an exhibition on French Impressionism, displaying the works of many famous Impressionist masters such as Monet, Cézanne, Gauguin, and Pissarro. In order to see the creations of world-class masters, Mi Qiaoming came to Beijing alone to watch the exhibition. She was very excited when she saw the works of these masters. From then on, she had a special idea in her heart: "I must go to the best art academy in the world to study, and I must be the best painter!" So she decided to go abroad. He had the belief to study and chose the Repin Academy of Fine Arts in Russia, one of the four major art academies in the world, as his goal.

(2) Brilliant Casting on the Road to Study

Through Mi Qiaoming’s continuous efforts, in 2005, she got her wish and came to the Repin Academy of Fine Arts, which she had longed for. She showed her creative talent in the preparatory class, and the teacher of the preparatory class remembered her deeply. Although she faced difficulties such as language barriers, unfamiliar oil paints, and simple accommodation during this year, with her continuous efforts, Mi Qiaoming was finally admitted to the Russian Repin Academy of Fine Arts with excellent results. .

In 2006, after officially entering the Repin Academy of Fine Arts in Russia, Mi Qiaoming officially began his study and creative career. At first, when she had just become familiar with the city of St. Petersburg, she painted "Nevsky Prospect", "Russian Policewoman" and other creations that reflected the street scenes of St. Petersburg, Russia. Her creative talent and unremitting pursuit of artistic realm were appreciated by Qiu Wen, the head of the oil painting department. When she was a freshman in college, she created the oil painting "Sunshine and Hope". In order to improve her artistic creation ability, she often goes to the Hermitage Museum and the Russian Museum to see the works of masters, and summarizes and learns from the viewing, and applies the experience gained to her own creation.

The teaching at the Repin Academy of Fine Arts is very rigorous, and the examinations such as anatomy and fluoroscopy are very strict. These courses are like a nightmare for Russians, but Mi Qiaoming can pass it smoothly every time and almost every time. The anatomy teacher "invited" her out of the classroom for the first time, and held her hand and said, "Thank you, girl! You learned my class so well!" It is precisely because of the strict education of Repin Academy of Fine Arts that Mi Qiaoming Her paintings are almost perfect in shape and composition. These solid basic skills allow her to express her emotions in her creations with ease.

In the summer vacation of her second year of college, she returned to China to participate in the Dalian Art Fair. That year she became the youngest member of the Dalian Artists Association and won several awards in a row during the summer vacation. Slowly, her name began to attract the attention of more and more collectors and viewers. Of course, these achievements are inseparable from Mi Qiaoming's hard work: she was the only student at Repin Academy of Fine Arts who had perfect attendance in cultural classes, and almost all the teachers who taught her remembered her name. Not only that, in addition to completing class assignments and exercises, Mi Qiaoming always creates the most independent creations. Other students only have one creation per semester, but she can come up with five. These creations took up all her spare time, but she enjoyed them without any pain or complaint. Mi Qiaoming pursues beautiful things and likes everything related to beauty, so during this period she painted a large number of Russian still lifes, landscapes, figures, and creations to commemorate and praise the land that accompanied her growth.

Although Russia has many artistic resources, Mi Qiaoming is not satisfied with the influence of a single national culture. She used her spare time to visit many countries, went to many art galleries, and was exposed to the influence of art from different nationalities in the world.

In 2009, she was admitted to the best oil painting studio of the Repin Academy of Fine Arts - Sakalov Studio (now Yuri Goliuta Studio) with excellent results. In 2010, she held her first art exhibition in St. Petersburg. The exhibition featured a series of Russian landscapes created by Mi Qiaoming. The Consul General of the Chinese Embassy in St. Petersburg attended the exhibition and spoke highly of her. Subsequently, she participated in more and more art exhibitions and became more and more famous. As the first student who was interviewed by the Russian dragon newspaper before graduation, she was famous for her work "Chinese Roses on the Neva River - Mi Qiaoming's Russia". "Art Journey" is the title, giving a very high evaluation to Mi Qiaoming's creation.

In 2011, as a student who had not yet graduated, her works were auctioned at Beijing Rongbao. She also became the youngest painter to be auctioned at the time. The first time her work was auctioned, it sold for 210,000 yuan. high price. In 2012, Mi Qiaoming's studio director Yuri Goliuta recommended her to the academy and held a solo exhibition of Mi Qiaoming's Chinese paintings in the Italian Hall of the Repin Academy of Fine Arts. She became the first student to hold a solo exhibition in the academy before graduating. . The works exhibited this time were widely praised by deans and professors. The consul of the Chinese Embassy also attended the exhibition and praised Mi Qiaoming as the pride of the Chinese people.

In June 2012, Mi Qiaoming received full marks for graduation with her "Tibetan Girl Paintings", ending her seven-year study abroad career at the Repin Academy of Fine Arts, and at the same time starting her own career A new creative mileage. Simon, the director of Repin Academy of Fine Arts, wrote this comment for her: "She is an outstanding, beautiful and very talented female painter. I feel very happy and honored that she studied at our academy (Russian Repin Academy of Fine Arts) "I must say that you have achieved great success in your studies in the past few years." Qiu Wen, director of the Oil Painting Department, commented to her that she "ended her studies at the Repin Academy of Fine Arts with full marks, an outstanding achievement." Genius female painter, I wish you greater success in your creative career." In the same year, her oil painting "Island Guardian" was selected for the National Art Exhibition on the 85th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China and was exhibited at the National Art Museum of China.

(3) Art choices after returning to China

After graduating and returning to China, Mi Qiaoming has been conceiving themes and creations of his own style. In fact, she has had themes and goals in mind for many years: influenced by traditional cultural education since childhood, coupled with the pursuit of beauty, she hopes to do some cross-ethnic and cross-regional cultural dissemination and exchanges after returning from studying abroad. So she created a large number of "Peking Opera Character Series" works, using the blending, splashing ink, and traditional outline of traditional Chinese painting, combined with the lifelike realism of oil painting. This unique technique created her unique painting language. Oil paint is the main medium of Western painting. Its characteristics and usage methods are much different from traditional Chinese painting paints. However, Mi Qiaoming has found his own unique expression techniques through continuous learning and exploration, making oil paints bright and colorful. Combining colors with the smudging and scratching of Chinese painting brushwork, and adding the Impressionist "pointillism" painting method that I am familiar with, he expresses the essence and drama of China's national quintessence. Mi Qiaoming hopes to use the techniques he learned while studying abroad to express China's most traditional culture - the quintessence of Peking Opera. She hopes to hold more exhibitions abroad to spread China's historical and cultural spirit and the beauty of national culture to all parts of the world, so that the world can better understand China.

In 2013, Mi Qiaoming successfully held a personal oil painting exhibition at the United Nations. She exhibited her "Peking Opera Character Series" oil paintings to spread and showcase the essence of China's national quintessence to international friends, and won the recognition of the United Nations Secretary-General. At the same time, her work "Peking Opera Characters" was collected by the United Nations. In the same year, she became one of the youngest members of the Chinese Artists Association.

In the just-concluded 2013 autumn art auction, she became the youngest painter at China Guardian and Poly Auction to have her works sold for over one million yuan, which once again attracted the attention of collectors. , also indicates Mi Qiaoming’s unlimited potential and vitality in the art market.

Since 2014, Mi Qiaoming began to create the "Sanskrit Rhythm and Auspicious Appearance" series of oil paintings of Buddha statues, gradually forming his own painting style. This series of works is Mi Qiaoming's use of Western oil paintings to depict Eastern Buddhism and Zen, and contemporary techniques to reflect the historical poetry. Peach blossoms and kapok are combined in a novel post-modern collage form, which not only expresses a heavy historical texture and romantic spiritual baptism to people, but also allows tired people who are squeezed by material reality to build a house in their hearts. A spiritual home where poetry inhabits. From 2014 to 2016, Mi Qiaoming held many solo exhibitions in Beijing, Inner Mongolia, Dalian, Taiwan and other places. Many of his works were sold at high prices at Beijing Poly and Beijing Guardian auctions, and he also achieved impressive success in the art market. Remarkable and impressive results.

Mendeleev, sketching teacher at Sakalov Studio: "I am very satisfied with the learning and communication with Mi Qiaoming in our studio from 2008 to 2012. This fragile girl is full of enthusiasm and humble attitude towards her work. She listened carefully to the teacher's suggestions and achieved excellent results. The personal exhibition held in the school exhibition hall fully demonstrated her multi-faceted talents. Think that such a diligent and talented artist will create more interesting and successful works in the future. Do you know that the most important day of the year will come soon and I will definitely tell you the date and time when we celebrate it. Time."

Ulalov, tutor of the Oil Painting Department of the Repin Academy of Fine Arts in Russia: "Sincere congratulations to the author for the art exhibition he has carefully prepared for the Repin Academy of Fine Arts. I am very happy to have been Mi Qiaoming’s teacher. This will be my best memory.”

Global Artists Alliance Chairman Yao Jicheng: "The personal oil painting exhibition of Mi Qiaoming, a realist female painter with solid foundation, should be invited by the United Nations Economic Development Committee, Global Artists Alliance, Jinxiu Holdings Group, 8mm Micro Film Holdings Company, and Asia Art Foundation The invitation traveled across the ocean and traveled thousands of miles from Russia via China to New York, the United States, and was exhibited at the Plaza265 Gallery of the United Nations on October 1, 2013. On the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the birth of the Republic of China, this With this exhibition, as a Chinese female painter, she undoubtedly presents a noble gift and sincere love to the anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Mi Qiaoming is a native of Dalian, China. She graduated with full marks from the Oil Painting Department of the famous Russian Repin Academy of Fine Arts and a postgraduate student at Sakalov Studio. Her works have rich themes and diverse expression techniques. She has proficient oil painting techniques, solid foundation and rich artistic accomplishments. Her paintings not only contain the delicate qualities of a female artist, but are also full of the rough and unrestrained domineering style of a male artist. It can be said to be a combination of yin and yang, with both softness and forcefulness. Unified philosophical and aesthetic characteristics. He is a rare outstanding female painter. In her works, modern European oil painting elements are used to express the image of Chinese Peking Opera, which makes people feel fresh and familiar. The artistic processing is freely applied and the degree of expression is just right. In short, her paintings can not only set a creative example for female artists, but also provide a model for the diversity of creative styles for male artists, and provide a broader way for male artists to develop and sublimate their artistic creation.

"

In recent years, Mi Qiaoming has begun to create the "Sanskrit Rhymes and Auspicious Phases" series of Buddhist statues. Art critic and curator Peng Feng commented on this: "This work has three elements: one is the background. Among the famous paintings of the past, one is a Buddhist sculpture as the theme, and the other is decorated with peach blossoms or kapok. Qiao Ming gathered them into his own paintings, using appropriation and juxtaposition commonly used in postmodern paintings. Real peach blossoms and kapok, as well as Buddhist sculptures and paintings as works of art, are originally at different levels of time and space. Qiao Ming combines them to give people a surreal feeling. However, no matter what kind of combination or juxtaposition, it all seems natural in Qiao Ming's paintings, especially without the irony, ridicule and criticism often found in postmodern art. Qiao Ming is using her unique way to bring art back to humanities, aesthetics and skills, and to return to the long-lost positive art in contemporary art. However, from another perspective, the time and space dislocation caused by different factors on the screen not only gives the audience a pleasant visual experience, but also allows people to reminisce, yearn and think. ”

Artistic Thoughts and Work Style

Mi Qiaoming is an artist whose thoughts and art dialogue, and colors and souls collide. The jumping colors on the canvas are the expression of her emotions and determination. Innovation and pursuit of verve are her life trajectory. Her greatest wish is to promote and display China's long-standing culture and art through her oil paintings. Peking Opera is the "quintessence" of China, a traditional art with a long history and profound meaning. Mi Qiaoming hopes that people all over the world can see the quintessence of China, the excellent dramatic art of Peking Opera, so she uses the oil painting series "Peking Opera Characters" as her unique, majestic art that combines Chinese and Western elements, with both realism and freehand brushwork. Style.

In Mi Qiaoming's oil painting "Peking Opera Characters" series, she absorbed the expression techniques of modern Western oil painting and incorporated the essence of traditional Chinese folk art, using a combination of Chinese and Western methods. Depicting Peking Opera characters, the quintessence of China, from her paintings, the imaginative stage costumes and character decorations, coupled with the opera language presented by hands, eyes, body, hair and steps, in addition to pursuing the shape and spirit of the characters, it is not difficult to I found that Mi Qiaoming more vividly and harmoniously expressed the charm, interest and drama of Peking Opera characters. The combination of the three artistic conceptions naturally aroused the audience's aesthetic pleasure. The young painter Mi Qiaoming tried to break the boundaries between Chinese and Western art and create a unique style. **Common artistic language. While admiring her exquisite paintings, people seem to be immersed in the powerful aura of Peking Opera art.

While creating "Peking Opera Characters". "At the same time as the series, young painter Mi Qiaoming has also created many excellent scenery and landscape series. She uses realistic techniques to reflect the artistic conception and texture in the paintings. The colors are colorful and gorgeous, but they are harmonious and unified, jumping on the canvas. Ming's oil paintings use the tension of color blocks to express the inherent sense and texture of objects. Her smart brushstrokes and subtle and simple expressions of the theme of the work give people a sense of tranquility and refreshing, and the composition space, color and objects are integrated. The outstanding realm and exquisite attainments are intoxicating.

United Nations Art Exhibition

In early October 2013, it was hosted by Jinxiu Art Fund and the United Nations Economic Development Commission, and was hosted by Jinxiu Holdings Group and 8mm Micro. The "Mi Qiaoming United Nations Personal Oil Painting Exhibition" co-organized by Film Holdings and the Asia Art Foundation was held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
