How many moves are there with the nunchaku?

Due to its special structure of one rope and two sticks, the nunchaku can produce ever-changing moves.

The system in the field of national style nunchaku has been relatively mature. Taking the system here as an example, there are eight major systems in the stick method, namely force, rebound, change of hands, dance, and stick rotation. , throwing sticks, collecting sticks and others. Among them, the others section includes cutting-edge small systems that have appeared in recent years, including hand-wrapping, arm-hanging, cloud sticks, etc. The above eight systems, the further they are sorted, the more they develop towards fancy styles, the more complex and numerous the movements are.

So I will mainly list the common nunchuck movements in each system:

Common movements in the power system include: White Snake Vomiting, Eight Methods of Splitting the Stick, Pointing the Stick, and Cross Cut etc.;

Common actions in the rebound system include: big arm rebound, waist rebound, triangle rebound, leg rebound, etc.;

Common actions in the hand-changing system include: Su Qin carrying a sword, climbing over a mountain Ridges, moving flowers and grafting trees, etc.;

Common movements of the stick collection system include: stacking the stick to collect the stick, wrapping the stick around the palm, collecting the stick with one finger, collecting the stick with two fingers, pulling out the stick and collecting the stick, etc.;

Novices need to understand the purpose of their practice before practicing, whether it is to practice actual combat or fancy skills. If it is actual combat, the movements should be simple and pure, and you only need to focus on practicing force generation and rebound; if it is fancy style, each branch system has training content, and the content is huge. The general training sequence within our Zimo training camp is: Train from front to back according to the above eight major systems. Although the latter systems have many movements and look cool, the core movements of the routines are actually concentrated in the previous systems. Whether it is actual combat tricks, rebounding with force, changing hands, etc., they are all double The essence of the stick, if you master this part, even if there are no cool and fancy movements, the routine will look flesh and blood; on the contrary, if you don't know how to exert force and control the stick, even if you master a lot of small techniques and tricks, you will still be able to It feels gimmicky and deviates from the essence of the nunchaku.
