The origin of the name "linkin Park"
After lead singer Chester Bennington joined, the band initially wanted to name it "Hybrid Theory (Hybrid Theory)", which was their debut Album title. But later it was discovered that there was already a band called "Hybrid", so they had to change their name. Candidate names (which ranged from serious ideas to spoofs) included: "Clear" (the band members' favorite), "Probing Lagers" (the band members thought they were least likely to be adopted), "Ten PM Stocker" ” (because they were recording every day until 10pm at the Stocker Street studio) and “Platinum Lotus Foundation”. In the end, they adopted Bennington's suggestion and named the band Lincoln Park because he would drive by here every day when he returned home from the band's routine practice. However, the domain name "lincolnpark.com" was far more expensive than the band could afford, so they changed the spelling and settled on "Linkin Park."

Beginner's introduction to LP:
"Linkin Park" is a new generation of music urchins who have no family or sect. They laugh and curse and wander around among various sects and learn from everyone. The head of the family showed off the music style of the E era to his heart's content. Inadvertently, his first album "Hybird Theory" sold 15 million copies, an astonishing sales volume. Linkin'Park, which has finally become a success, has set off a wave of Linkin craze around the world, triggering a "fashion storm". Also because of the Asian ancestry of the band members, a new generation of young people in Asia who are unwilling to lag behind others have discovered their own strength and charged at the forefront of world fashion. Linkin’ Park brings us not only mixed music and avant-garde fashion, but behind him is the free, broad and inclusive spiritual world of the new generation of young people. Brad (guitarist) and Mike (rapper - American-Japanese mixed race) knew each other because they went to the same High School together, and formed a band called "Xero" around 1996. The lineup of this band is very different from the current one. But It is also the basis of Linkin Park. In the beginning, the two of them only used Mike's bedroom as a recording studio to record their first song. They also met Rob (drummer) in school. Mike was in art school (design department) in Pasadena. I met Joe (Dj, a Korean-American hybrid)~ and Phoenix (current bass guitarist) was a roommate when I was studying at UCLA. After many changes, the members are: Milke, Brad, Joe, Rob, Phoenix , Mark. Because the band was not progressing well, Mark decided to leave, but he is still their good friend. And Mark is now the manager of Taproot. The band was renamed "HybridTheory" because of the departure of lead singer Mark Wakefield. People fill his position. They send some samples to their friends and friends and friends spread the word... and spread the word. As long as the person is interested, he will record his voice and send it back to them. Chester Bennington (Current Vocalist) started forming a band when he was 16 years old. In his previous band "Grey Daze", he met "Xero" from a law firm. The company told them that Chester might be able to help them, so they also sent it to him. At the same time, Chester and his wife I just bought a house in Phoenix, Arizona. One of my friends gave it to Chester. He called the band three days later and said he was very interested. They were very excited to receive a reply within three days and asked Chester to play on the phone. Listen to the band. At that time, Chester was at a birthday party. After listening to "Xero", he found out that it was very genuine, and Chester also set off to meet up in S. California. And Chester gave up the band one month before joining Linkin Park. He started the band at the age of sixteen. Chester, who records and plays music, said with a smile: "I loved singing Foreigner songs when I was only two years old, and I even recorded them on tape. Ever since I started learning to speak, I have always told everyone that I must be a singer when I grow up. Singer. Experience of becoming famous: The band's struggle has been bumpy. The rap-metal style they began to experiment with in the 1990s was not appreciated by the mainstream music industry for a long time.
In the process of signing contracts and making films, many major record companies disdained them in the past three years. They held 42 audition concerts to win contracts, but failed 42 times. Even Warner, who signed them, rejected them many times. Now they have become the "Warner Treasure", with beautiful sales figures that have shocked those who looked down on Union Park. While they were waiting for the record company to sign, their single "ONE STEP CLOSER" became very popular on the Internet. In just one month, there were thousands of discussions on Yahoo's fan forum, and on BBS It is also a popular topic. It was also the power of the Internet that made Warner realize the valuable value of the band in advance and resolutely signed a contract with it. However, the popularity of the band on the Internet also added a small episode to the band's final shape, that is, they finally discovered that even with the support of a strong network foundation, it was impossible for them to register the domain name "LINCOLN PARK.COM". But the band cannot lack the support of the Internet. Therefore, the band's final name became today's "LINKIN' PARK", and "LINKINGPARK.COM" naturally became the band's official website. Album status: The band has successively released some singles and EPs in the 20th century. On October 24 of the new millennium, the band released their first album "HYBRID THEORY". Since this day, the music of "Lingken Park" and everything this band represents has become unstoppable. The album contains a total of 12 songs by the band, each of which is a classic of rap metal. In 2001, this album achieved the highest sales in the United States, occupying the top 5 album sales charts for 75 consecutive weeks, and is still refreshing its own sales records to this day. Currently, global sales of this album are conservatively estimated at around 16 million copies. The good sales status led Warner Records to quickly launch a double global celebration edition of "Hybrid Theory" at the end of 2001, which added the band's live performance recordings and two new songs "MY DECEMBER" and "HIGH VOLTAGE", and planned to Continue to release remixes and "Park Drum Covers" of the album. The band's songs have also been widely used in many acclaimed and popular films, such as "Vampire 2000", "Valentine's Day", "Little Nicky" and so on. Music style: There is no relatively fixed genre, but a blend of rap, heavy metal, hip-hop, electronic dance music and other styles. It is worth mentioning that the band's lyrics strongly reflect the voices of young people in the contemporary E era, analyze their confusion, depression and anger, and reveal their lowest cries. But in today's era of "foul words", the band's lyrics are very clean, without any curse or profanity. Even the attacks are to the point, rather than empty swear words. This is not only true in today's rock music scene. It is rare, and should be regarded as a textbook on psychological inquiry for contemporary young people, and should be widely recommended and studied carefully.
