It is said that "Water Margin" contains a lot of information about the peasant uprising at the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty. Naturally, Zhu Yuanzhang was the leader of the peasant uprising, and he became a serf and sang. There are some stories about Zhu Yuanzhang in the book, such as the four heroes named Zhu in Liangshan, Zhu Tong, Zhu Wu, Zhu Gui, and Zhu Fu. What characters do their names represent and what do they mean? Zhu Wu is the same (same as) rich and noble?
First, Zhu Wu
The name Zhu Wu has a profound meaning. Because the reign title of Zhu Yuanzhang during his period was Hongwu. What's even more surprising is that when Zhu Wu was the first boss of Shaohua Mountain, he had two brothers beside him, one named Chen Da and the other Yang Chun. It just so happened that Zhu Yuanzhang also had two of the most capable generals around him: Xu Da and Chang Yuchun! Judging from this information, it is obvious that this is beyond the scope of "coincidence" and is indeed intentional!
In Water Margin, Zhu Wu was as resourceful as Wu Yong, and even surpassed him in terms of proficiency in battle tactics. Unfortunately, he was excluded from the core 36 Tiangang. Is this marginalized military advisor status very similar to that of Liu Bowen in the early Ming Dynasty, because Liu Bowen was basically the same throughout his life. Although he was a great talent, he was only given a knighthood? Sincerity, he was always marginalized and finally resigned and returned home. So Zhu Wu's encounter in Water Margin is most likely an allusion to Liu Bowen during the Hongwu period? This is the number one secret hidden in "Water Margin".
2. Zhu Gui and Zhu Fu Zhu Gui is one of the elders of Liangshan, with more seniority than Chao Gai and Song Jiang. He once rescued Lin Chong from going up Liangshan. But no matter whether Wang Lun is the boss, Chao Gai or Song Jiang are the village leaders, Zhu Gui has always been in the forgotten corner. Zhu Fu is Zhu Gui's younger brother and also runs a hotel. Neither of them, Zhao Liangshan, had much sense of existence. Not only did they not gain much wealth, they both became cannon fodder and eventually died in the battle to conquer Fang La. Wealth seems ironic.
Third, Zhu 仝
Zhu 仝 is very similar to Lu Zhishen in Water Margin, always saving people. It's just that Zhu Tong saved people he knew, such as Chao Gai, Song Jiang, and Lei Heng. Because of this, he was framed and deceived into Liangshan by Lei Heng, Wu Yong and Li Kui. Originally, he hated being a bandit, but instead he was forced to go to Liangshan and was forced to assimilate! However, Zhu Tong's final ending was very perfect, from being an official to a feudal official, the saying goes that good people are rewarded, which is roughly the case.
4. The meaning of the names of the four people together
If you read the names of these four people together, you will immediately discover the second secret hidden in the Water Margin? Zhu Wutong (tong) is rich and noble! This shows that Zhu Yuanzhang’s original intention in establishing the Ming Dynasty was for everyone to become rich together! But what about the final result? But it was Zhu Wu (Liu Bowen) who resigned and left. After the founding of the country, Zhu Yuanzhang massacred the heroes. Wealth only belongs to a certain person, but maybe everyone has the same wealth.
Both Zhu Gui and Zhu Fu died on the way to conquer Fang La. It also illustrates a question, is wealth dead? This is the third secret hidden in "Water Margin". On the surface, it shouts: Zhu and Wu are rich and powerful, but in fact, all the rich and powerful are gone, it has become nothing, it is just a big dream.
