Baotu Spring was named after Zeng Gong, who built the "Luoyuan Hall" beside Baotu Spring when he was the governor of Qizhou. This famous spring was named Baotu Spring. Baotu Spring is one of the three major scenic spots in Jinan. It is located in Lixia District, Jinan City, Shandong Province. It is adjacent to Quancheng Square in the east and Wulongtan in the north. It covers an area of ??158 acres and ranks first among the 72 famous springs in Jinan.

When Emperor Qianlong visited the south, he once named Baotu Spring "the best spring in the world" because the tea brewed with Baotu Spring water tasted mellow and sweet. It is also the first famous spring in Jinan to be found in ancient documents. Baotu Spring gushes out from underground limestone caves, with 70,000 cubic meters of spring water gushing out every day. The spring water has three outlets, and the maximum water inflow is 162,000 meters per day. The water in Baotu Spring is constant at around 18℃ throughout the year. The places of interest around Baotu Spring include Luoyuan Hall, Guanlan Pavilion, Shangzhi Hall, Li Qingzhao Memorial Hall, Li Kuchan Memorial Hall and other attractions. Baotu Spring, Qianfo Mountain and Daming Lake are also known as Jinan's three major scenic spots.
