The main building is 45 meters high, and the south and east entrances are 54 meters wide, 9 meters high and 14 meters deep. This building is only 45 meters high, which is very big.
I.M. Pei once called the headquarters building of China Bank "a masterpiece of closed doors", and in 2002, he accepted the design task of Suzhou Museum and Macau Youth Science and Technology Museum.
Historical origin:
I.M. Pei's family has a deep historical relationship with the Bank of China, and his father, Bei Zuyi, founded the Hong Kong Branch of the Bank of China in the 1920s. After 60 years (1984), I.M. Pei designed the 70-storey building of China Bank, which is 300 meters high. From 65438 to 0989, I.M. Pei instructed his sons, Bei Jianzhong and Bei Lizhong, to start designing the headquarters building of China Bank.
