Four Naming Reasons for nitrogenous bases

For Chinese, purine and pyrimidine are transliteration, and prefixes (glands, birds, cells and thymus) are direct translations of roots. As for English prefix naming, it is directly linked to the extraction method.

Purine = purine, pyrimidine = pyrimidine (it is a great honor not to transliterate into pyrimidine)

The prefix aden-means gland.

Guano, the prefix of guano, is guano, because guano was first extracted from guano.

The prefix cyto- of cytosine means cell, because cytosine exists widely in animal and plant cells.

Thy- is the prefix of thymine, because thymine is extracted from thymocytes.

The prefix of uracil is urea-. Uracil can be synthesized from urea and malic acid.
