What is the origin of the name Yangzhi Manna?

Yangzhi Manna is named after Guanyin’s porcelain vase.

Yangzhi Manlu is a dessert created by Hong Kong's Lei Garden Group. It was developed in the late 1980s and was constantly adjusted later. It started to be named something like Mango Sago, but I didn't think it sounded particularly good.

Later, the general manager of Lei Yuan was looking through the books and saw the story of Guanyin Bodhisattva using the willow vase in his hand to take seawater from the East China Sea to save the people in the drought-stricken area and bring salvation to all sentient beings. He felt that the meaning was very good and reminded him of this. The dessert can help people eliminate the heat in summer and is beneficial to people, so it was named Yangzhi Manna.

Making materials

Including pomelo (or grapefruit) and mango, as well as sago, coconut milk, fresh cream (or evaporated milk) and sugar.

Chop the grapefruit into flesh and cut the mango into cubes. Mix it with sago, coconut milk and sugar water, freeze it and eat it. Some dessert shops even add mixed fruits or bird's nests to poplar nectar.

The taste of poplar nectar has been made into other foods, such as poplar nectar cake, poplar nectar pudding, poplar nectar ice sticks, etc.
