Dear tourist friends, hello. We are now arriving at the Foyuan Zen Temple in Langya Mountain. This temple has historical origins. I will tell you about it here. During the Western Han Dynasty, there was a temple at the mouth of the two canyons of Dongshui and Xishui in Langya Mountain, respectively, Dongshui Shengquan Temple and Xishui Longquan Temple. Shengquan Temple is the predecessor of Foyuan Temple. The two temples each have several temples, and the scale is basically the same. Behind the temple, there is a clear spring gushes out, like the legendary "ambergris spitting water". People believe that the spring water here can cure all diseases, so they call it holy water. Later, a king of Zhanshan demolished the Shengquan Temple in Dongshui and built a barracks. Coincidentally, in the same year, the roof of Xishui Longquan Temple was lifted up by a hurricane and thrown to the holy water spring behind the temple. Today, only the remaining ruins remain. The current Foyuan Zen Temple was built by Shi Yanzhen at his own expense in response to the great wishes of the believers. There is also a clear spring behind the Foyuan Zen Temple. The spring water is clear and sweet, and there is no end to it.
Now let’s take a look at the structure of the Zen temple. Foyuan Zen Temple is divided into east and west courtyards, and the east courtyard is the Zen Heart Health Center. Here, people are given medical treatment and medicine without any charge. The west courtyard is the chanting hall. In the main hall there are Tathagata Buddha, Medicine Master, Amitabha Buddha, Guanyin Bodhisattva, Garan Bodhisattva and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva; and outside the hall there is the Thai Erawan Buddha. The Erawan Buddha, known as the "Responsive Buddha", is one of the three major gods of Brahmanism in India. He is the god who created the heaven and earth and the father of all living beings.
This Buddha has four Buddha faces, representing love, career, health and wealth respectively, and controls all affairs in the world. It is one of the most popular Buddha statues. For those who believe in Buddhism, not worshiping the Erawan Buddha is like entering a temple without worshiping the gods. It is an unimaginable thing. It is said that the Erawan Buddha has extraordinary miraculous effects. Therefore, some tourists go back and forth to Foyuan Zen Temple many times in order to make vows in front of the Erawan Buddha, which shows the charm of the Erawan Buddha.
Dear tourist friends, we are now arriving at the Langya Mountain Five Warriors Memorial Tower. We know that during the Anti-Japanese War, Langya Mountain was a famous anti-Japanese base area. In September 1941, in order to cover the transfer of the main force, five soldiers from the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Division led the 2,500-strong Japanese invasion force up to Langya Mountain. Squad leader Ma Baoyu, deputy squad leader Ge Zhenlin, and five soldiers, Hu Delin, Hu Fucai, and Song Xueyi, carried forward the spirit of self-sacrifice and led the enemy to a cliff. During the battle, they ran out of bullets and had only one grenade left. In the end, they persisted for a whole day. After everyone had been safely transferred, they also reached the top of Langya Mountain. Facing the dark Japanese army, they abandoned After grabbing the last grenade, they smashed one, walked to the cliff with their chests held high, and jumped off the cliff. This is the famous Five Warriors of Langya Mountain. After the five warriors jumped off the cliff, Ma Baoyu, Hu Delin, and Hu Fucai sacrificed their lives for the country and died heroically. Ge Zhenlin and Song Xueyi were hung on branches on the cliff and were saved.
In January 1942, before the Anti-Japanese War ended, the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Division decided to build a memorial tower at the top of Qipantuo where the five warriors jumped from the cliff. The three-story "Three Martyrs Memorial Tower" was basically completed at the end of September that year. However, in September 1943, during another major sweep by the Japanese imperialists, the "Three Martyrs Memorial Tower" was destroyed by enemy mountain artillery bombardment. In order to commemorate the heroic achievements of the five warriors and inherit their unyielding spirit, the people of Yi County rebuilt the memorial tower in 1959. Nie Rongzhen (zhēn) personally inscribed the name of the tower "Five Warriors Memorial Tower in Langya Mountain". However, it was destroyed again in the late 1960s due to damage from the "Japanese War" and earthquakes.
The memorial tower was built twice and destroyed twice, but it cannot destroy the people's memory of the five warriors. In 1986, the "Langya Mountain Five Warriors Memorial Tower" was built for the third time. The new tower is the one in front of us now. The tower has 5 floors and is in the shape of a regular pentagon. The top of the tower is equipped with a pavilion-style yellow glazed tile cap. The front of the tower is also inlaid with 9 large golden characters "Monument Tower for the Five Warriors of Langya Mountain" inscribed by Nie Rongzhen. Now that the historical turmoil has passed for a long time, we are in an emerging era and a prosperous and powerful country without war or civil strife. It is these fearless heroes who have given us our current life. I think what we should do now is to uphold their spirit and beliefs and build a better future for our motherland.
Dear tourists and friends, we are now arriving at the Five Warriors Exhibition Hall. I believe you are familiar with the "Five Warriors of Langya Mountain". This text has been included in our Chinese textbooks since childhood. The deeds of the five heroes of Langya Mountain are very tragic and great memories of our eight-year war of resistance against Japan. Their deeds took place in Langya Mountain. These five warriors are Ma Baoyu, Ge Zhenlin, Song Xueyi, Hu Delin, and Hu Fucai. They used their lives and blood to compose a magnificent poem that swallowed up mountains and rivers. During the battle, they were fearless in the face of danger and bravely blocked the attack. After running out of bullets, they fought back with stones. Facing the enemy approaching step by step, they would rather die than surrender, destroy their branches, and jump off a cliff dozens of feet deep without hesitation. Among them, Ma Baoyu, Hu Delin, and Hu Fucai died heroically for their country, while Ge Zhenlin and Song Xueyi were fortunately caught by branches on the mountainside and survived. The feats of these five warriors demonstrated their lofty patriotism, revolutionary heroism and unyielding national integrity, and they were hailed by the people as the "Five Heroes of Langya Mountain". Their fearless spirit aroused the bloody spirit of resistance of our Chinese nation. It not only infected the compatriots who rose up to resist at that time, but even today, the unyielding spirit is still shaking in our hearts.
The Langya Mountain Five Warriors Exhibition Hall was built to allow us now to review history and commemorate the heroes who fought bravely against Japan. This exhibition hall was completed in 2001, and the name of the museum was inscribed by General Yang Chengwu himself.
There are four exhibition halls in the museum, including pictures, historical materials, anti-Japanese war cultural relics, and battle scenes, which vividly reproduce the heroic achievements and tragic history of our anti-Japanese soldiers and civilians under the leadership of the party, fighting against the Japanese aggressors and defending the country. It also further reveals the heroic achievements and tragic history of the Japanese army. The heinous crimes committed by the bandits in our base area. After the exhibition hall was put into operation, people from all walks of life came to receive patriotic education in an endless stream. During the "July 1st" and "October 11th" periods, there will also be special reports made by old party members and the Eighth Route Army. Friends, if you are interested in the history of the Anti-Japanese War, you must not miss it.
In Langya Mountain, there is a scenic spot called Red Agate Cave, which is 90 meters high and 50 meters wide. It has 6 scenic halls, including fairies descending to earth, eight immortals celebrating birthdays, and Tallinn Night. More than 40 landscapes per month.
Dear tourist friends, we are now arriving at this cave, which is halfway up the Langya Mountain and near the Xitianmen attraction. This is the first natural landscape composed of red agate discovered in my country. Its formation has a history of more than 1.6 billion years. It was first discovered in 1992 by three villagers of Dongxishui Village.
The entire mountain body of Langya Mountain is made of limestone, so there are many caves in Langya Mountain, which has become a major feature of Langya Mountain. This red agate cave is the largest and most special place discovered so far. This cave was originally called "Tianjing". It is said that it was the blessed place where ancestor Wang Chan meditated. Speaking of the name Wang Chan, my friend, you may not be very familiar with it. Let me change the name. If you are more interested in historical legends, you may know it, that is "Guiguzi". Gui Guzi was a very famous strategist during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period in my country. His disciples were also very powerful, including Su Qin, Zhang Yi, Sun Bin and Pang Juan. They were all in trouble during the Warring States Period, and their stories and history are wonderful, and I treasure them all. Let's return our thoughts to our red agate cave. We can notice that the stalactites in the cave are very beautiful in color and unique in shape. This cave is divided into five layers, running diagonally downward from north to south. The first layer is a 30-meter shaft, and the second layer is brown stalagmites mixed with white stalactites. Those stalagmites, stone pillars, stone milk, and stone curtains formed a group of extremely peculiar shapes. Some were like fairies descending to earth, some were like the Eight Immortals celebrating birthdays, some were like Guanyin meditating, some were like jade pillars in the Dragon Court, and some were like Tallinn on a moonlit night, etc., is colorful, with one or two stone pillars in the middle, thin at the top and thick in the middle, in the shape of a vase, covered with coral-like or chrysanthemum-like stone flowers. The third and fourth floors are all milky white or amber stalactites, with various shapes and interesting shapes. There is an underground river on the fifth floor, which seems to be an artificial clear channel, with a cave entrance underneath. Legend has it that it is connected to the East China Sea. People call it the eye of the sea. Because the entrance of the cave is too small and there is no way to enter, there is no way to study it. Langya Mountain Guide Words 8

Dear friends, although Langya Mountain was as early as the Warring States Period two thousand years ago, it became one of the ten scenic spots in the Yan Kingdom at that time because of the "Langshan Mountain Jingxiu".
But what really made it famous around the world was a touching and touching story that happened more than 60 years ago. Please look in the direction of my finger. There is a memorial tower standing high on the steep mountain in front. That is the place where the five warriors of the Eighth Route Army sacrificed their lives by jumping off the cliff in a bloody battle against the Japanese invaders. In order to help everyone more intuitively understand and recall the history of the war against the Japanese invaders and the thrilling and heroic actions of the Five Warriors, let us first visit the Langya Mountain Five Warriors Exhibition Hall.
Now we have arrived at the Five Heroes Exhibition Hall of Langya Mountain. First, please read the preface. Langya Mountain was originally called "Langshan". It is said that Liu Lang, the grandson of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, once took his mother here to take refuge, so it was named "Langshan" because its peak is steep and looks like a wolf's tooth. , later generations called it "Langya Mountain". It consists of 5 peaks with 36 peaks. The main peak is 1105 meters above sea level and belongs to the Taihang Mountains. During the Anti-Japanese War, the Langya Mountain Base Area was the northern gate of the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Border Region. Nie Rongzhen, Yang Chengwu and other revolutionaries of the older generation lived and fought here for a long time.
The first exhibition room mainly tells the creation and development of the Langya Mountain base from 1937 to 1939 in chronological order.
On July 7, 1937, Japanese imperialism caused the Marco Polo Bridge Incident, brazenly launched a full-scale war of aggression against China, and attempted to annex all of China within three months. Faced with the survival of the nation, the Communist Party of China stepped forward. On the second day of the incident, that is, July 8, 1937, the Communist Party of China issued a telegram calling on the people of the country to rise up and resist the war. On August 25, the Red Army was reorganized into the Eighth Route Army of the National Revolutionary Army, referred to as the "Eighth Route Army", with jurisdiction over three divisions: the 115th, 120th, and 129th. At the same time, the Luochuan Conference of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was held (this picture shows the venue of the Luochuan Conference). In early September, the main force of the Eighth Route Army crossed the Yellow River eastward and headed for the anti-Japanese front line in North China. In late September, the 115th Division fought a decisive battle with the Japanese army at Pingxingguan and achieved its first victory since the Anti-Japanese War, which greatly boosted the morale of the Chinese military and civilians. In October, Commander Nie Rongzhen led more than 2,000 elite troops to open the country's first anti-Japanese base area behind enemy lines - the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Anti-Japanese Base Area.
In October 1937, Yang Chengwu led the 115th Division Independent Regiment to enter Yixian County with the cooperation of the local party organization in Langya Mountain, and opened up and established the Langya Mountain base area. During the eight years of China's Anti-Japanese War, Commander Yang Chengwu lived and fought in the old area of ??Yixian County for six years. After Yang Chengwu's troops crossed the Yellow River eastward, they successively conquered Laiyuan, Yixian and other seven surrounding counties. The troops developed very rapidly. While resisting Japan, they actively mobilized the masses to carry out a campaign to reduce rents and interest rates, making farmers truly the masters of their own country (this picture shows the heated scene of military and civilian elections at that time).
These four pictures tell the story of the Battle of Dalonghua, which took place on May 20, 1939. During this battle, our army seized a large number of confidential documents on the Japanese invasion of China, and was under the supervision of the Party Central Committee and Chairman Mao's high praise. In the battle of Yansuya on November 3, 1939, our army killed Abu Guixiu's favorite general Qiancun Xianji. Abu Guixiu was very angry and sought revenge on Yang Chengwu along the old Xianji Road on November 5. This led to the Battle of Huangtu Ridge on November 7. In this battle, our army used "pocket tactics" to kill Japanese Lieutenant General Abu Kihide. The Japanese government and the public were shocked, lamenting that "the flowers of famous generals withered in the Taihang Mountains" (this picture is the place where Abu Kihide was killed). This is a farmer in the northernmost part of Jiaochang Village. Abu Guixiu set up a temporary command post here. He moved a table and sat at the door to direct the battle. Our army used mortars captured from the Japanese army to fire shells. In the middle of the yard, shrapnel flew and hit Abu Guixiu's legs and chest. A few hours later, Abu Guixiu died. In the history of the Anti-Japanese War, Abu Guixiu was the highest-ranking and the only one among the Japanese generals killed by our army.
Please visit the next exhibition room.
The continuous growth and development of our base area aroused great panic and hatred from the Japanese invaders. In order to eliminate our base area, the Japanese imperialists adopted a strict economic blockade policy in an attempt to trap and kill the Japanese invaders. The soldiers and civilians in our anti-Japanese base areas starved to death, but our army actively responded to Chairman Mao's great call of "self-reliance, adequate food and clothing" and launched a vigorous mass production movement (these on display are all tools used in mass production).
Under the guidance of the people's war policy proposed by Chairman Mao, the base areas actively developed the people's armed forces and established militia organizations such as the Youth Anti-Japanese Pioneers and the Women's Self-Defense Forces (these pictures on display are of what they were doing during training at that time) some scenes). At the same time, guerrilla groups in various districts and villages also developed rapidly. They used various forms such as mine warfare and tunnel warfare to launch a resolute struggle against the enemy. The Japanese invaders couldn't capture our Eighth Route Army, so they attacked the unarmed civilians. Beginning in 1939, the Japanese army carried out brutal "sweeps" on the Langya Mountain base area again and again, causing many tragedies in Tiangang, Qicun, and Zhaitou. From 1937 to 1945, the Japanese invaders killed more than 5,000 of our anti-Japanese soldiers and civilians, looted a lot of property, and burned more than 22,600 houses. Their despicable behavior and cruel methods were outrageous.
The troops of the five warriors came to Langya Mountain and fought with the local people. They witnessed the crimes of the Japanese invaders with their own eyes, which strengthened their determination to fight. This is the first exhibition hall, which mainly serves as a foil and tells the general environment and background of the growth of the Five Warriors. ;
