Jin Se.

Li Shangyin played his "Jin Se" on a moonlit night. A melancholy song that has captivated countless listeners in later generations. It has also aroused many different interpretations and speculations. Jin Renyuan Haowen once said in his "Thirty Quatrains on Poetry" that this poem is "A piece of sermon can solve people's difficulties."

"Jin Se has fifty strings for no reason, and each string and column reminds me of the past." The poem originated from "Jin Se", which not only describes the beauty of the harp, but also writes about the fineness and complexity of the strings. "Jin Se" These two words give readers a beautiful yet resentful intuition.

"Zhuang Sheng dreamed of butterflies at dawn, and looked forward to the emperor's spring heart with cuckoos. The moon in the sea has tears, and the warm sun in the blue field produces smoke." The two couplets on the chin and neck carry the word "thinking" in the first couplet to recall the past. The poet I lament that I abandoned my talent and hurt myself in life.

"Can this feeling be recalled? But I was already at a loss at that time." The last couplet asks and answers the question, which points out that this poem is about recalling the past and learning from the pain. The so-called "this feeling" refers to the obsession of "Xiaomeng", the deepness of "spring heart", the sorrow of "tears" and the confusion of "jade smoke" written in the couplets of chin and neck. It is only when I reminisce that I feel sad. When the years pass by, I can already appreciate the bitterness and sorrow in them. In the mist of warm jade and smoke, the poet looked back on the past, recalled the past love, and left the melancholy of those years empty, which made him sigh once again: Looking back to ask about the afterimage, the afterimage is even more empty.

This poem was written around the author's later years. It is thought to be his recollection of the past and his emotion about the ups and downs of his life. Although the description is euphemistic and the purpose is hazy, it obviously has its sustenance. Li Shangyin concealed the specific things he had experienced in his life in his poem, and expressed his ups and downs and sadness and sentimentality from many different angles in a subtle and euphemistic way, expressing his regrets about the passage of time and the failure of his ambitions.
