"Up" is the tenth animated film and the first 3D film of Pixar Animation Studio in 2009. The film tells the touching story of a 78-year-old Mr. Carl, who, in order to keep his promise to his beloved wife, is determined to take the house he and his wife Ali built together to soar into the sky. As the opening film of the 62nd Cannes Film Festival, the film is the first 3D animated film to serve as the opening film of Cannes. The film was nominated for the Oscar for Best Picture and other awards, becoming the second animated film to be nominated for Best Picture after "Beauty and the Beast". The film won the Academy Award and the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film and Best Original Score.
When the story begins, the little boy Carl Fredrickson is watching the newsreel attentively. The famous explorer Charles Muntz
(Charles Muntz) and his The dogs have just returned from a hot-air balloon adventure in South America. Munz announced the discovery of a new species, but the scientists didn't believe him and called him a liar. Munz's reputation was ruined. However, Carl Jr. has no doubt about Munz's experience and takes every word of his words to heart, especially his sentence "Adventure is out there" which is regarded as a wise saying by Carl Junior. He also wants to be like Munz. Become a great explorer.
The scene changed. Little Carl was walking home with a balloon. When he passed by an uninhabited house, another child's voice came. This was a girl with a tomboy character. , named Ellie, who was also obsessed with Monz's adventure stories. Ellie, who kept chattering, used the weather vane on the roof of the house as a joystick and the whole house as a big spaceship, trying her best to persuade the overwhelmed Carl to join her. The plan is to take a "flying house" adventure. Of course, the two children did not fly up, but fell down. But Carl and Ellie got to know each other. Later, the camera showed us a montage of the two of them growing up, getting married, and living together. Ellie became a zookeeper, and Carl got a car to sell helium balloons. Both of them have dreamed of exploring the "Paradise Falls" in South America mentioned by Monz all their lives, but they are always tired of running for life. Until Ellie died of illness, this wish could not be realized.
After Ellie passed away, Carl became withdrawn and unwilling to interact with others. But what's worse is that his house happens to be on land planned by the government for development, where a skyscraper is about to be built. Carl, who was unwilling to move out, became a "nail house". The government sent people to prepare to send him to a nursing home, but just before those people came, Carl made a decision to leave here with the house and go to South America to realize his dream. His wife has the same dream as him!
So we saw the classic scene in the trailer, where colorful balloons dragged an entire house into the sky. The image of the flying house overlooking the land in the air is very beautiful (this was the original inspiration for the director to create this film).
But what Karl Lao didn’t expect was that he would board a “stowaway” on his flying house—an 8-year-old Asian boy named Russell. This overly optimistic little boy liked to talk quickly. Later, he joined the Wilderness Explorers Association. In order to become a senior member, he needed to collect the last badge-the Help the Elderly Badge. Unfortunately, the target he chose for help was the eccentric Karl. Karl hated this little chubby guy who always followed him.
Carl thought of many ways to throw this annoying child from the flying house. But before he could put it into action, the flying house flew into a storm cloud, and many of Ellie's belongings fell. Carl scrambled to protect these things... After Carl woke up, "Stowaway" Russell told Carl that his GPS helped them fly to Wonderland Falls, but Carl cut off a few balloons and prepared to land and put Russell on the car home. At this moment, an accident happened. The flying house, which was already close to the ground in the thick fog, hit a boulder. Although the house escaped, both Carl and Russell were thrown down. Seeing that the flying house was about to float away, Carl tied it with a water pipe, and then the flying house dragged him until it reached the cliff before stopping. Only then did Carl realize that the "Wonderland Falls" was right in front of him (as shown on the right). From here, the two people began to pull the flying house forward on foot (they then came to the jungle).
That night, Russell talked to Carl about his family situation...
In the jungle, Carl and Russell met a new friend - a large and colorful bird with a long red beak ( It is a new species discovered by the explorer Munz). This bird is really big and likes to eat chocolate. Russell named it Kevin. The bird likes Russell very much, but doesn’t like Carl very much. Then the two of them met again. I met my second friend - the talking dog "Dada". It is not accurate to say that this dog can talk. In fact, the collar worn around the dog's neck can express the dog's thoughts through human language. After that, they came Went to a canyon, where several dogs appeared, two
Wonderland Falls
bulldogs, and a Doberman Pinscher (many other dogs appeared later, these dogs were all related to Monz).
Subsequently, the two men were taken to an airship, and they discovered that the owner of the airship was actually the explorer Charles Muntz. His purpose was to capture the big bird and prove himself.
After learning that Mengzi would do whatever it takes to achieve his goal, the two of them ran away first. When they released the big bird home, Muntz arrived and took the big bird away... Then, the two of them started fighting with Muntz to rescue the big bird. But Mengz released a plane from the airship, interfering with Feiwu's progress...
After the fight, Mengz and Feiwu both fell into the clouds. After saying goodbye to Big Bird, the two of them and Big Dog drove Monz's airship back to the city. Russell also received the badge awarded by Karl. The three "people" became inseparable good friends and lived a happy and comfortable life. life (as described by Russell when talking to Carl about his family situation). And their flying house finally floated alone with the balloon on the edge of the Wonderland Falls in the "Mesa Mountains" (while Monz's whereabouts were unknown), realizing Ellie and Carl's lifelong dream.

Behind the Scenes< /p>
1. The image of Old Carl combines the image of two actors, Spencer Tracy and Walter Matthau, with the image of an ordinary grandfather.
2. The production of "Up" took 5 years.
3. When director Docter created "Up", he made reference to Hayao Miyazaki animations, The Muppet Show of Kamite the Frog, and Disney's early animated film "Dumbo" (Dumbo) and "Peter Pan" and "The Wizard of Oz." In fact they went to great lengths to make the film less like The Wizard of Oz.
4. The dialogue in "Mary Tyler Moore (1970)" was used in the film when Ronaldinho and Carl talk about their family situation.
5. The dog pilots in the film use the same broadcast as the X-Wing Pilots in "Star Wars (1977)", but replace "Red Squadron" with "Gray Squadron" to show that the dog is Color blindness.
6. At first, when old Carl woke up, there were several pill bottles beside his bed, one of which had "Luxo" written on it, which was the name of the jumping light in the Pixar opening.
7. The original shape of Wonderland Falls and its surrounding terrain is in the Angel Falls (the highest waterfall in the world) area in Venezuela.
8. Fenton's Ice Creamery at the end of the movie does exist in reality. Both factories are in California and both are close to Peak

9. If Carl’s home is 1,600 square feet (148.64 square meters) and there are 60 to 100 pounds per square foot (293 to 488 kilograms per square meter), then the house weighs 120,000 pounds (54,431 kilograms) ). And if each helium balloon can pull 0.009 pounds (4 grams) of objects, plus other factors, then the house would require 12,658,392 balloons to lift it off the ground (only 20,622 balloons when the house is raised).
10. The little ball in "Naughty Jumping Light" and the Pizza Planet truck in "Toy Story" are respectively in the home of the little girl watching the house rise and in the shot just after the house rises; and "A113" also appears as the court's code name, which is the studio number of the Pixar director at CalArts (California Institute of the Arts). All three have appeared in almost every Pixar film.
11. Except for Dug, all the other dogs in the film are named after Greek letters - such as Alpha (α), Beta (β), Gamma (γ), etc.&# 93;.
12. The numbers on Carl's alarm clock are in "Chicago" font - the first font designed for Mac computers.
13. Mike Giacchino's first soundtrack for a film other than Brad Bird's.
14. Dug’s posture is similar to Mickey Mouse’s pet dog Pluto, and Dug’s coat color is also based on Pluto.
15. According to Pixar tradition, this time John Reisenberg dubbed a worker who quarreled with Carl (this tradition is that he will voice a character in every Pixar film: In "Toy Story 1~3" it is a piggy bank; in "A Bug's Life" it is Captain Flea; in "Monsters Inc." it is a snowman; in "Finding Nemo" it is a group of tuna that can imitate the shape of objects; In "The Incredibles" it's the underground miner who appears last; in "Cars" it's Mike the truck; in "Ratatouille" it's a fat waiter; in "Wall-E" it's John).
16. This film is the first animated opening film at the Cannes Film Festival; it is also the first film since 2003's "Finding Nemo" with a display ratio other than 2.40:1; and it is also the first film since Pixar's "The Incredibles" The second film to be rated PG.
17. This film is another Pixar animated feature film without songs after "The Incredibles".
18. When Carl's car had a puncture and he needed to use the money in the piggy bank, the bad tire was the white tire that McQueen finally put on in Cars.
