The subtle relationship between the emperor and the dragon
You must have heard the word "meridian". In terms of orientation, "zi" represents the true north of the earth, and "wu" represents the true south of the earth. The word "Ziwu" is closely related to the Chinese people. If you have been to the Forbidden City in Beijing, you will find that the way in which ancient emperors entered the hall was as follows: the emperor sat on a sedan chair, carried by eunuchs on both sides, and climbed up the stairs step by step. The emperor's sedan chair would have a dragon sculpture in the center of the steps. Passing on the slope, the bearers walked on the steps. The emperor hung up from the slope in the center. After passing through the carvings of dragons and mascots, he entered the dragon chair in the Golden Palace. During the entire process of being carried into the hall, the emperor was located on the central axis of the meridian and would not be carried to other positions.
This practice originated from ancient mathematics. In feudal society, the emperor was regarded as the highest god and was sent to govern the world. The most important password in the world was the "meridian", which is the two locations of the North Pole and the South Pole of the earth. The emperor has a subtle relationship with the dragon. The emperor particularly likes to use the dragon as a symbol, and the Chinese people also use the dragon as a totem. One of the reasons is that the dragon has a curved and rotating posture when flying, which is an S shape, and the code of the universe (Tai Chi Diagram) is an S shape. Therefore, the dragon interprets one of the most mysterious forms in the universe - the music has feelings, which is a proper term in Feng Shui.
When I traveled to Beijing, I visited the mansion of Heshen, a powerful official in the Qing Dynasty. I believe everyone is very familiar with the story of He Shen and Ji Xiaolan. Heshen's mansion was later occupied by Prince Gong and is still open to tourists. There is one thing sold in this mansion that can only be purchased here in Beijing. It is a calligraphy painting called "The Best Blessing in the World". What is the meaning of "the most blessed thing in the world"? It turns out that this character was written by Emperor Kangxi. Every year during the Chinese New Year, he would personally inscribe it in large characters and give it to the descendants of the royal family.
The word "福" written by Kangxi is particularly stylish. He first writes the word "duo" and then the word "tian", which means "duotian", that is, there are many fields. Then write the sign on the left hand side as Duo Zi, which means you have many children, so it becomes Duo Tian, ??Duo Zi, and then add a little, which means you can get more.
This "best blessing in the world", which can only be bought at Prince Gong's Mansion, represents many fields, many children, and a little more, which is called "three mores". A blessed person must have many fields, many children, and have more than others in everything. This is considered a blessing.
Why could Kangxi write the word "福" like this? Because the word "福" contains the word "子", many children means more water, and "zi" means water, which represents the style of the emperor. From this word "福", you can understand how a person can be blessed? It comes from having children. Zi has a great relationship with the emperor, so the position where the emperor sits is also the direction of Zi!
In horoscopes, dragon is represented by the character "chen". Its greatest function is that "whenever a dragon meets the dragon, it will transform", that is, if the word "chen" appears in the eight characters, it can cause the five elements to harmonize and change, all things will grow, and a different atmosphere will be derived. Why did the emperor call himself a dragon? Because there are many conditions for becoming emperor.
