The Origin and Name of Lu Opera

Luxi opera

Lu opera, also known as "disguised dulcimer" and "Qin opera", is popular in Shandong and some Jiangsu and Anhui provinces. It originated in the Yellow River Delta in the northeast of the mountain and evolved from Qin Shu, Shandong Province, with a history of 65,438+000 years. Most of the original Lu Opera classes went from village to village and performed in the fields, which had little impact. 19 10 or so. 1953 After the establishment of Shandong Lu Theatre, Lu Opera became a kind of drama that spread all over Shandong and enjoyed a good reputation throughout the country.

Lu Opera belongs to rural art, which plays farming and sings peasant feelings. Most of the characters are minorities, little Dan and clowns, and the lyrics and Daobai are taken from folk languages. Accompaniment instruments are mainly Tribal Tiger, Erhu and Sanxian.

Traditional operas include Make the Finishing Point, Sisters Easily Marry, Li Er's Sister-in-law remarried, Borrowing Wife, Shilongwan and so on.

Representative figures include Lang Xianfen and others.

There are many opinions about the origin of the name of Lu Opera (now called Lu Opera), which are roughly as follows:

1. Since 19 1 1 after the Spring Festival, Sun Center sang "Wang Xiao Catches the Feet" with a paper donkey in Liuguan Village, which is called donkey play. Because this name is unsightly, it has been transliterated as "Luxi Opera" by some scholars. 19 15 or so, Shi Dianyuan, an old artist in Tanjia Village (now under Guangrao County) belonging to the seventh district of Boxing County, once sang "Wang Xiao Catch Feet" in disguise with a paper donkey, which was welcomed by the masses. 1923, this donkey show entered Jinan, and its main play was "Dayao in Lv Dongbin". The local people don't know the origin of this play, but they only hear that it is called "donkey play", and because the main play begins with the word "Lu", the audience calls it Lu play.

Second, according to the memories of old boxing artists, the word "Lu" in Lu Opera was originally the word "Lu" of 25 families. It means neighborhood drama, hometown drama. Later, in the process of tossing and turning, "Lu" was simplified to "Lu". Others said that in the past, most Qin books were played by couples or families, and the content of singing reflected the love between men and women. Both of them are called "Lu", so they are called Lu Opera.

Third, the original name of Lu Opera is "Music Opera". There are two reasons: first, because the piano is the main accompaniment instrument when singing, and the fingers playing the piano move up and down, so it is called playing; Because there are six yin rhythms in China's Twelve Musical Rhythms, which are collectively called "Six Rhythms" and "Music" is renamed "Lu". There is also a legend that when this drama was named, an old artist said that when it was sung, it was called a stroke. Music is homophonic with Lu, hence the name Lu Opera (now called Lu Opera).
