Even the passages between houses are narrower than the streets. Some places are called Hutong, and in Fuzhou they are also called "Lane". What is Fang? Fang is people's residential area.
the "three lanes and seven alleys" is a traditional block built by clear bricks and tiles, which is located in the center of the ancient city of Fuzhou. It borders South Street in the east, Tonghu Road in the west, Jipi Road (Lane) and Guanglufang in the south, and Yangqiao Road (Lane) in the north. Fuzhou has always been a residential area where officials, gentry, rich people and intellectuals are concentrated. The arrangement of the three lanes from north to south is: Yijinfang, Wenrufang and Guanglufang, and the arrangement of the seven lanes is Yangqiao Lane, Langxiang, Taxiang, Huangxiang, Anmin Lane, Gongxiang and Jipi Lane.
We came to Langguan Lane first. As soon as I entered the alley, I saw the door number reading: Langguan Lane. Come to No.2 Langguan Lane: Yanfu's former residence. When I entered the door, I first went to Yan Fu's life introduction room and looked at the pictures with relish. Dad came and said, "Go and see something else." So, we went to the back garden of Yan Fu's former residence. There is a small willow tree, birds are singing in the branches, and morning glory is still blooming on the ground, which is full of vitality and very attractive. There is a well and a stone mill on the concrete floor. There is a flower gate at the entrance of the house, and the window is also a flower window. People are in it, just like going back to ancient times.
Then I came to Anmin Lane, where there is another story. In the past, when foreign countries (China was divided into many countries in ancient times) hit our country, the common people were very scared. So, a foreign soldier posted a safety notice at the entrance of this lane: people, don't be afraid, we won't hurt you. The people are relieved. Therefore, later generations named it Anmin Lane.
then we are going to tower lane. I have to go through a winding road to get to the tower lane, so I can't tell the difference between east, west, north and south.
at this moment, it suddenly began to rain cats and dogs, which put an end to my dream of going to other lanes and alleys.
this is really an interesting trip.
