Recently, I learned from the column of Wutai Mountain Tourism News about introducing Buddhist culture that China Buddhism introduced the cause and effect of Yang Wulang's becoming a monk in this way: Wutai Mountain Taiping xingguo temple is also known as Yang Wulang Temple, commonly known as Wulang Temple. Located on the hillside 2 kilometers north of Xiantong Temple. According to legend, Wutai Mountain was escorted by Yang and his son. In Wutai Mountain, Yang Wulang met the abbot and monk Rui Jian of Taiping xingguo temple. In several contacts, Goro appreciated Ruijian's profound knowledge, and Ruijian also liked Goro's personality. Although Yang Goro had no intention of becoming a monk, Rui Jian always instilled some Buddhist deeds and precepts in Goro, and insinuated him to abandon his armor and become a monk. But Goro has never had enough courage. Before leaving, Rui Jian gave Goro a package and said, "It will help you out of trouble."
When the Song and Liao armies attacked the Golden Beach, they were framed, resulting in a crushing defeat. Four people were killed and two were captured. Yang Wulang broke into a forest, but he didn't escape in front, and there were pursuers behind him. At this critical moment, Goran remembered Rui Jian's package and opened it. It turned out to be a monk's hat and a black cassock. Goran hated traitors and decided to become a monk. So he swaggered out of the Woods in a monk's hat and black cassock. Liao soldiers ignored the monk and told Goro not to be captured.
After Yang Wulang came to Taiping xingguo temple, people called the valley where the temple was located, and the temple was called Yang Wulang Temple, commonly known as Wulang Temple. Few people call it Taiping xingguo temple. According to legend, Goro practiced martial arts every day after becoming a monk. Under his leadership, more and more people practice martial arts. Goro organized these people and set up monk soldiers. As monks were not allowed to use swords and halberds, Goro used an iron bar weighing 8 1 kg. When Liao attacked Han Chang again. The Eight Immortals invited Goro from Wutai Mountain to help.
Legend has it that one day Han Chang, a general of Liao State, led his troops to Yanmenguan, ready to camp. In order to prevent Goro from suddenly breaking out of the pass, he really killed him with a stick, and Han Chang's fork split in half with a click. Han Chang was so scared that he lost his horse's head and ran away, but Goro's stick was faster, and he hit it with one stick, and Han Chang was split in half. Because Goro used too much force, after the iron bar broke Han Chang, it hit a big stone on the side of the road, and the iron bar also issued a crack more than a foot long. Goro's cracked iron bar is now hidden in the cultural relics showroom of Hougao Hall of Xiantong Temple, one of the ten scenic spots in Wutai Mountain.
After seeing this iron bar, the ancients left this poem:
The land is not awkward, and the white clouds lock the Wulong Temple;
The world of the Song family became a dream, and the iron bar often wanted to hate someone.
From the explanation of the above two cultural versions, it can be seen that the only real reason why Goro became a monk is that he saw through the essence of the corrupt court in which the traitor was in power and was unwilling to work for it again.
