In this performance, nine tables are arranged at a certain distance, and a dozen Dongba people jump on the tables in turn to perform duets and solos, and then turn down in turn. The skilled Dongba master "can spin on one foot on the table, then jump in the air, turn over and kneel on the ground, and then jump up to gain momentum." This is a wonderful folk dance. In addition, some wizards also perform different qigong stunts to show the depth of kung fu. Dongba dance is performed with different musical instruments according to the gods played. Its performances can be divided into the main gods: such as "Dimbashiro Dance" and "Sayingvuitton Dance"; Guardian: such as "Karan Dance" and "Five Gods Dance". All these gods have their own mounts, and their performances are often combined with mounts, or they only perform their own mounts to symbolize the elegance, handsomeness, solemnity and ferocity of the gods. Beasts: such as "white bull dance", "sika deer dance" and "golden frog dance"; Musical instruments: such as "Ban Ling Dance", "Magic Knife Dance" and "Bow Dance"; Others such as "bronze lantern dance" and "flower dance". Although these dance machines originated from the norms recorded in the form of classics, they also have their basis in real life. So the name of each dance may not be known to the masses, but the carved image of the dance is easy to understand.

As a relic of primitive culture, the originality of Dongba dance lies in that it endows people with the personality of the sun, the moon, mountains, water, wind, thunder and lions, tigers, elephants, deer and porcupines worshipped by nature, making it an image of a god integrating man and beast; It made ancestors worship national gods or other gods, and took wild animals or beasts as mounts, thus preserving a certain degree of primitiveness. Even the origin of Dongba dance is attributed to frogs. Dongba scripture "The Origin and Origin of Dance" contains: "Dance is inspired by the jumping of the golden frog." According to Dongba religion, the important props (instruments) used in Dongba dance are Ban Ling and Ban Zhuoming: Ban Ling represents the sun, Ban Zhuoming represents the moon, and Ban Ling's ears are tied with the bones of small animals and feathered talons. These are obviously closely related to the remains of primitive ideas.
