The ancients originally wore fur to lead an ordinary life. With the change of society, fur clothes have gradually become the special clothes for upper-class people. In the Qing Dynasty, the court used different kinds of fur to represent and distinguish the level of official positions, with Hailong as the highest, and then arranged according to the mysterious fox, mink and lamb skin, which made fur clothes political. In addition to animal skins, ancient leather clothes also included clothes woven from bird feathers, such as green phoenix hair, green jade hair, phoenix hair and peacock hair. This kind of leather coat is dazzling and precious.
A gorgeous and expensive fur coat, called crane (in earlier years, it was said that cranes were made of real crane feathers), split in front and back to facilitate riding. Crane now refers to a kind of light-colored clothes with black cuffs and lace, which was often paired with straight robes in the Ming Dynasty.
