How to use Zhouyi divination?

"Book of Changes." "Xi Ci" says: "Yi has four principles of the sage: those who use words should value their words, those who use movement should value their transformations, those who use utensils should value their images, and those who use divination should value their divination." The art of divination originated very early! "Zhou Rites" has three rites in Chun Guan Taibu Zhang, one is called "Lianshan", the second is called "Gui Zang", and the third is called "Zhouyi". Lianshan and Guizang have long been lost, and today only the Book of Changes survives. "The Book of Changes" was first written by Fu Xi. At that time, there were only images and no words. King Wen of Zhou developed the hexagrams into sixty-four hexagrams, and added words to them, which is called "彖词". Zhou Gong assigned Yao Xiang and each wrote "Yao Ci". Finally, Confucius wrote "Ten Wings". This sutra became so splendid that it was known as the "Four Saints of the Book of Changes" in history, and the "Book of Changes" also became the standard of Yin-Yang and Five-Element Philosophy in later generations! One of them, divination, is of course Zu Shao's "Book of Changes", which is inseparable from all changes. But more strictly speaking, the origin of divination is earlier than the "Book of Changes", but the Chinese divination method cannot be found in the "Book of Changes"!

There are many methods of divination. In ancient times, yarrow was used for divination, and the method was very complicated. For example, "Xici" says: "The number of Dayan is fifty, and its use is ninety-nine; divided into two , Use it to symbolize two, hang one to symbolize three, poke it to four, symbolize the four o'clock, return to the strangeness, use it to symbolize a leap, and there will be a leap again at the age of five, so cut it again and then hang it." This is the divination method of yarrow. . Later, it was said that the immortal master Gui Gu changed yarrow into copper coins, and used the life of gods to control wealth, officials, fathers, brothers, sons, etc. This was actually a major reform in divination! Because the ancients were calm and sincere, the long divination process and time could still focus on one place and concentrate on it; nowadays, there are many people and things to do and the mind is distracted, which is not worthy of the long wait! The yarrow hasn't been finished yet, and my mind is like flying a thousand kites, and I don't know where they are flying to. How can you get accurate hexagrams without paying attention? This trend of simplification has been ongoing; for example, using grains of rice, numbers, and words to draw... Among them, the book "The Easy Number of Plum Blossoms" lists eloquently such as number accounting for objects, accounting for sounds, and accounting for words. [Zi divination includes one-zi divination, two-character divination, and eleven-character divination], as well as feet-and-foot divination, dynamic and still-life divination, etc. Most of the divination methods available today cannot escape these categories, with only slight changes.

Divination schools:

There are many methods of divination, too numerous to mention. Leaving aside the Chinese divination methods, there are many imported divination methods from the West, such as fortune telling with playing cards, or the recently popular tarot card method, and even the residual coffee pattern in the coffee cup can predict good or bad luck! If we add our own inherent divination methods, it will be very lively. In fact, the so-called "divine signs come from movements" means that as long as you can grasp the movement of divine signs, nothing can be predicted. But having said that, there is a lot to write about between the profound and the superficial!

If divination is simply based on setting up hexagrams, it can be roughly divided into three types: Zhouyi Divination, Plum Blossom Yishu, and King Wen’s Holy Hexagrams.

Divination method of Zhouyi:

This is a divination method based on "Zhouyi". King Wen's Bagua is also the acquired Bagua, which is different from "Lianshan" and "Guizang". It is also different from Fuxi's innate hexagrams, which are the hexagrams in the preface of the hexagrams passed down in the "Book of Changes". The order of Fuxi's Xiantian hexagrams is based on the "River Diagram", which is the main, the body, and the innate Qi, based on Qian and Kun; while the hexagrams of Wen Wang and Houtian are guest, Yong, and acquired Qi, based on Kan. It is used to separate the world from generation to generation. In short, the innate hexagrams are the basic patterns between heaven and earth, while the acquired hexagrams are the changes of all things in the world.

The sages wrote the Book of Changes mainly to clarify the way of heaven and teach people the purpose of life. However, "Xici" says: "Therefore, when gods are born, saints follow them; when heaven and earth change, saints imitate them

; when the sky hangs down like an image, to see good or bad luck, saints like it; when a river comes out of a picture, Luo writes a book, The sage follows it." The flow of heaven's way is endless; it is good to look at "The Book of Changes" from a Taoist perspective.

But if you think of it as the manifestation of good and bad luck for all things in the world, it is okay! Therefore, the difference between Taoism and Taoism is that the former is philosophy, while the latter is Taoism. These are just differences in body and use.

It has nothing to do with right or wrong. Because of this position, "The Book of Changes" has become the authentic tradition of divination, and it can even be said to be a required subject in the Yin-Yang and Five-Element Philosophy.

So it is called "Zhouyi Divination Method" because this divination method uses the "Zhouyi" scriptures as the main method of interpreting hexagrams. Because there is text to read, it seems easy, but it is not! Because the first is that the scriptures are simple and not suitable for modern people to use; the second is that the hexagrams and hexagram sequences are very profound and cannot be understood or understood by ordinary people.

For example, "The Analects of Confucius? 6.4 Shu Er": "The Master said: "Give me a few more years, fifty to study "Yi", and there will be no big mistake." Also, "The Zhengzong of Divination" says: "...the Immortal Master Guiguzi, because he was afraid that fools would not be able to understand the profound meaning of Yi, used money instead of divination to determine the restraint of the life of a wealthy official, his father, his brother, and his son..." This is what it means. Therefore, this divination method is mostly valued by literati academies. There are roughly two tendencies: one is to enter into a purely philosophical discussion; the other is to interpret the meaning based on the text and scratch the surface!

Plum Blossoms Easy to Count:

Plum Blossoms Easy to Count was founded by Mr. Shao Yong-Kangjie, who lived during the Qingli period of the Northern Song Dynasty. It is said that he "hides in the mountains and forests, without a stove in the winter or a fan in the summer. His heart is focused on Yi, and he forgets about the cold and heat." It is really admirable to be a scholar like this. However, in the preface to "Authentic Plum Blossom Numbers", it seems that this divination method was inherited from another teacher, but it was only carried forward by Mr. Kangjie. What are the facts? We don’t know! This is a historical public case, so there is no need to disturb our interest in learning hexagrams. Chinese culture is inherently broad and profound, and most of it has gone through thousands of years of hard work before it can become a family. It is not easy to say strictly who the founder is. What's more, the ancients didn't pay attention to copyright, so how can we pursue it?

Meihua Yishu is mainly based on the innate eight trigrams, and the hexagram number of the hexagrams is based on the innate-Qian one, two, two, three... Kun Ba as an example. The so-called innate focus means that more emphasis is placed on the yin and yang and the five elements of the hexagram itself, while the later diction of the Zhouyi is only a reference. The so-called distinction between nature and nature has been discussed before. To put it simply, the innate emphasis is on Qi, Yin

The basic structure of Yang and the Five Elements; and then the genius begins to have human laws and regulations, and craftsmanship and art. This is why the Fuxi Bagua only has images but no text, while the Zhouyi hexagrams are all included. Therefore, the core structure of Plum Blossom Yishu is the science of three-dimensional structure, function, and observation of its changes.

The so-called body uses yin and yang; the body is always quiet and is yin, and the body is always moving and is yang. Therefore, the upper and lower hexagrams are divided into internal and external hexagrams, those with moving lines are called Yong hexagrams, and those that are quiet and unmoving are called Ti hexagrams. The body is yin, and yin cannot be overcome. If it is overcome, it will be injured! The body hexagram should be strong rather than weak. If it is weak, it cannot be done. In the actual process of divination, first determine the outgoing body and yong hexagrams; if the fifth line of the Feng Shui Huan hexagram moves, we know that the inner hexagrams that do not move are the body hexagrams, and the outer hexagrams that move are the yong hexagrams. The body hexagram belongs to wood, the yong hexagram belongs to water, and if the body hexagram is used, the main task will be easy to accomplish. What about the declining and prosperous hexagram of Ti Yong? If the wood falls in spring, it will be auspicious; if it falls in the golden moon, it will be bad. In addition, the mutual hexagram and the hexagram change must also be considered; in short, the original hexagram is the state of things, the mutual hexagram is the process of things, and the hexagram change is the result of the thing. The decline and prosperity of the five elements among them is an important basis for divination results.

Although the Plum Blossom Book of Changes emphasizes the innate, it is also necessary to consider the hexagrams of the "Book of Changes". For example, Shao Kangjie discussed a young man with a happy face, occupying the fifth line of the Ben hexagram. It is unlucky to use the text "戋" and conclude that there is a happy event, regardless of whether the hexagram is used to remove the body or regenerate. Of course, this also involves triggering and inspiration. The so-called "master craftsman teaches others rules", "can only be understood, not expressed in words." The most important thing in Chinese prediction is talent and inspiration. In "Plum Blossoms Yishu? 6? 4 Volume 5", there is an example of Li Chunfeng and his son Zhanyi. Is the husband of a woman safe? This is why the judgments of father and son are completely different! So when should I read Yao Ci? When not to use it? I'm afraid it can't be explained in just a few words!

The Holy Hexagram of King Wen:

Before talking about the Holy Hexagram of King Wen, we must first mention the "Five Elements Breaking Changes". It is based on the Huntian Jiazi, that is, the Najia is placed on the six lines, and there are three lines of Shi, Ying, and Shen, and the five functional gods of wealth, official, father, brother, and son; the changes in life and restraint between them are used to judge the relationship. Good or bad. Wenwang Gua is a divination method formed on the basis of the Five Elements of Change, plus the addition of heavenly stems, six beasts, gods and evil spirits.

Many people only know that there is Wen Wang Gua, but they do not know that there is Five Elements Duanyi. In fact, there is not much difference between the two. Because the restraint of the five elements is the main body, and the six evil beasts are just a more subtle presentation of a certain predetermined result. Although the Wenwang hexagram is called "Wenwang", it actually just refers to the name of King Wen of Zhou Dynasty and also means to commemorate him. From the perspective of Duan Gua, his relationship with "The Book of Changes" has gradually become distant! Although the system is different from that of Plum Blossom Yishu, there are similarities in the perspective of paying attention to the generation and restraint of the five elements. It can also be said that they all emphasize the innate system, and Wenwang Gua has added many discussions like Ziping Bazi.

Wenwang Gua has more practical components. As long as you choose the right god, you can judge good or bad luck.

For example, when it comes to wealth, the money line is used as the god; when it comes to exams, the parents' line must be prosperous; or when it comes to breaking up a relationship, I am the world line, and the other person looks at the corresponding line... Observe the strength and weakness of gods, the surrounding relationships, and see life? To defeat it? Help him? Control it? ....Although it only has six lines

It seems simple, but it presents infinite factors and possibilities. This divination method has gone through countless years of baptism, tempered and sublimated by many sages and sages, and has also integrated many sects of yin and yang and five elements! If we were to simply include it in the divination series, we would be missing the forest for the trees!
