The old man could not withstand the mental blow. Not long after, he became seriously ill again and died one after another. After Haihui buried his parents in tears, he sold his house, meager property and a few acres of land in anger, and went to Beijing again. He wanted to find out the reason for his failure. However, for a poor student from a remote country, he has two lives and no relatives after coming to Beijing. What’s more, the officialdom is corrupt, and he has no money to give gifts and ask for help. Isn’t it more difficult to find out what is right and wrong than to climb to the sky? Haihui will return disappointed with his heart filled with grievances. On the way back, when he passed by Acheng in Yanggu, Shandong, he saw the beautiful scene here again and felt a little relieved. In the evening, he stayed in the same small shop where he stayed when he went to Beijing to take the exam. He stayed up all night, tossing and turning, and thought about what the fortune teller said. He realized that the fortune teller was not an ordinary fortune teller, but a fairy. To guide one's own path. He made up his mind to build a temple in Acheng, where he would worship Buddha, chant sutras, and do good deeds all his life. In this way, he used the silver from selling his property to build a temple and named it "Haihui Temple". He invited Buddha statues and Buddhist scriptures, and worshiped Buddha and recited Buddhist scriptures every day.
One day, a man stepped into the temple gate. Haihui took a closer look and found that it was none other than the fortune teller. Haihui was very happy and asked hurriedly: "Old man, what is your last name?" The gentleman said, "I am the reincarnation of Zhou Yi, so there is no need to ask more." Haihui also mentioned that he was going to Beijing to take the exam. The gentleman waved and said: " You did well in the exam, but it was your destiny to be replaced by a man from the government. Now you are on the road to the bliss of the West. Isn't it great?" Haihui lowered his head to listen to the teacher's words, raised his head and wanted to say something, but The gentleman disappeared again.
Since the temple was built in Haihui, the past has been cleared from the bottom of my heart, and I can worship Buddha and recite sutras with compassion without any distracting thoughts. Some businessmen knew that Haihui was kind-hearted and had a bodhisattva heart. They often came here to stay and rest. More and more businessmen came. In order to express their gratitude to Haihui and make accommodation more convenient, the businessmen raised funds to build the Shanxi Guild Hall. Over time, More and more people are worshiping Buddha and donating money, and the temple is getting bigger and bigger. Now it has become one of the five largest temples in North China.
