This is Ah Hui’s first article. There are no fans or viewers. I have a very bad memory, so I think it is just to store a memory for myself. It is also to fulfill a promise I made to a friend. .
Namaste means Namaste in India, and is also called Namaste, which means putting two palms together on the chest, focusing on the mind, and worshiping respectfully. This is originally the method of saluting in ancient India. . Later it was used by Buddhism. After Buddhism spread eastward to China, Buddhist believers in my country all followed the Namaste ritual. Saying Namaste in India can express many meanings, including greetings, thanks, respect, etc.

First experience
India is my first overseas trip. When I first arrived at the airport, I was not only nervous but also alert and careful. Everything around you is moving. But during the period from New Delhi to Ahmedabad, I felt like I got used to it a lot.
New Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport
PDPU is a local university in Ahmedabad. Haha, AIESEC's project is built around this university. My AIESEC project is in the education category. In human terms, it means going to a local school to teach children to read. When I first arrived at PDPU, it was in the afternoon and everyone was taking a nap. I spent two long hours alone without daring to run around. It felt so painful. On the first day, I went to school together with Eve, who was new on the same day.
Meeting the children for the first time
Let’s talk about the children. The children here are all about 7 years old. The task of our volunteers is to simply teach English, mathematics and science, spending half the time teaching the children to learn and the other half playing with them. Because they have just started learning English, there will be many obstacles in communication, but we can feel their enthusiasm. They will always come to you and say: "Photo, photo!", or they will play with you. , whether it’s hide and seek, swinging or lifting. From their eyes, it seems that the purest and simplest thoughts can be seen.

Integrating
I slowly began to adapt to the local culture In life, in addition to poor English and even poor Chinese, which bring great difficulties to communication, there is also the fact that I came late and everyone is already familiar with each other, but I am still What's your name? Where are you from? I am Neo from China... Also, it is really hard to remember foreign faces... Put it this way, I am not very adaptable and have many problems, but I am also living a fulfilling life.

Indian eating rhythm
In India, we eat four meals a day, breakfast around 9 am, lunch at 12 noon, Snack at 4 pm, and dinner at 8 pm. Do you know why Indians all have big bellies? Below is the daily menu in India.
Taking a tuk-tuk for the first time
In addition to teaching children, AIESEC also has many other activities every day. We need to go to class at 11 o'clock in the morning. The Indian professor tells us about Gandhi's life, Gandhi's politics, and some Indian mythology. In the first class I went to, I couldn't understand anything. I could only understand the PPT. I gradually started to understand the pictures, and I still like fairy tales. But till now, I only remember Shiva, the God of Destruction, Ganesha, the Elephant God, and Hanuman, the Monkey God. Among them, Ganesha is the current folk legend. I asked many local Indians about the most popular god. It represents luck, success, happiness, etc. In short, it is the folk "god of all things" (I summarized it myself!).

In the remote PDPU, daily entertainment activities have become luxurious, so we always catch When I have the opportunity to go to the city, I can spend half a day shopping in even a very ordinary small shopping mall. I can also eat ordinary Dominos pizza with gusto. I even looked for a cheap spa several times but couldn't find it. All I found were high-end ones, which was a bit... Pity. With more and more exchanges, I gradually became familiar with children from different countries, and we would exchange the cultures and food of different countries together.

Playing at PDPU Stadium
In the first game of school after returning to China, I was wearing slippers. My hands were itchy, so I took off my shoes and played alone on the court. Others see: Do you usually play like this? I said hahaha no.
Sick
Yes, I got sick. I had diarrhea and high fever because of a McDonald’s Big Mac burger. It was during the AIESEC During the GV procedure, I didn’t have the nerve to interrupt, so I asked an Indian friend, HImanshu, to take me to a nearby clinic. As a result, the small clinic prescribed me medicine and I reluctantly took an injection.
The medical environment in the small clinic is very scary. There are still flies flying around in the waiting area. There are shabby tables in the room. When giving injections, the doctor takes out the syringe and medicine bottle from the broken drawer of his shabby table. There are already several used ones on the medicine bottle. It can be seen from the needle holes that they have been reused.

Although I tried to politely refuse, but I couldn’t explain it clearly, I still let him take it. Later, when I went back and thought about it, I was very frightened, and my condition did not improve at all. In the afternoon, my body temperature slowly rose to 38.5 degrees, and I no longer had the strength to stand up. I felt that there should be an imbalance of electrolytes in the body. There was really nothing I could do, so I asked AIESEC. They arranged for me to go to the hospital, but it turned out that the President of the AIESEC project and a corn number took me and Wen Hao to the hospital together. The blood test and fluid test cost 600 oceans, and I was heartbroken. When doing a blood test, the blood does not flow from the blood vessel through the blood vessel directly into the bottle like in China, but comes out through the blood vessel and drips into the bottle. I was frightened again. This is the largest private hospital in the city. ! While I was in the hospital, I kept thinking whether I would get scurvy or some other infectious disease. After returning to PDPU, because Stephen and Wen Hao were also sick, the three Chinese people started the illness and health mode. The most uncomfortable thing is at night. I have a fever and can’t sleep. I’m sweating all over. I have to go to the toilet frequently to check in. I can’t take a shower because there is no hot water. I lie in bed tossing and turning, fearing that I will be infected... I feel homesick for the first time since I came out. .

Fortunately, I survived. After I got sick, I was no longer like when I first came here. I had to take a bite of everything and became timid. Can I eat this or can I eat that? The food in India is indeed not very clean. Among the more than 40 friends, nearly half have experienced discomfort, but for those with maximal gastrointestinal capacity, it is probably not a problem.
GV
This GV is not that GV, it means Global Village. Simply put, it is where each friend shows himself Global village activities of national culture and customs. Some countries, such as China and Egypt, have seven or eight friends, but some countries, such as Thailand, only have one person. Each country shows its own cultural characteristics in its own way and prepares the most unique local food.

While preparing the dishes At that time, we initially thought about 7 or 8 dishes. Later, AIESEC said that only one dish was needed. We said: How can one dish express all our characteristics? ! After we discussed it, we only had three dishes, and because of the ingredients, we couldn’t make my favorite dishes. We named the foreigners on the spot, and then wrote them on small cards with small brushes as souvenirs for them. Unexpectedly, it was so popular and the queue was full. Of course, when I came up with the name, I tried my best to transliterate it. I couldn’t help it because the word was ugly, hahaha. They were very happy to get it. Later, the Egyptians imitated us in naming, and then I got my Egyptian name. After we took turns to display, we went to other countries' stalls to play. I ate all the food. My favorite was Moroccan desserts. I ate so many that I forgot to take pictures. Like Mauritius and Thailand, only one person prepares everything, but in the end their results can also surprise us.
Performances
Every now and then, we will go to the school’s dance studio to practice dancing. Our group practice is Bollywood style. At first I thought it was just for entertainment practice, but later I was told that I was going to perform on stage. Because of my illness and because my boss asked me to write a book manuscript, I only participated in one of the three songs. During breaks from dance practice, AIESECers would dance together, which should reflect the organizational culture of AIESEC and its relationship with India.

From practice, rehearsal to performance, then It’s really great that people from many countries can work together to do this well. Just like in Qinghai Lake at that time, people from all over the world gathered together, crowded together in the van, sang, chatted, and ate together. A bite of hot rice...

This is an orienteering activity with local people. Take Go to the secret language to solve the puzzle and reach the destination to complete the task. A team consists of a foreigner and two Indians. The whole process is quite interesting, and there are many interesting tasks, such as wearing a sari, following believers in a church worship, etc.

Raksha Bandhan
Raksha Bandhan is one of the four major festivals in India, Raksha Bandhan, Or called Rakhi, on this day every year, Indian men and women express their deep affection for each other in a grand way of celebration, tying red strings on their siblings, dotting Bindi between their eyebrows, and giving candies to express their blessings to their siblings. AIESEC arranged for us to go to different Indian families to participate in this festival. The one we went to was Jinesh’s family. Jinesh's family is in a single-family villa in the center of Surat. There are servants at home, and they look very wealthy, hahaha, but the decoration inside is more similar to the house I built in my hometown. The home is big but there are not many furnishings. The place is empty. Jinesh's family is very warm and friendly, and he has a very interesting father.

At the end of the project, it’s time to go out and have fun again! ! During this time, on the one hand, I have to plan my next solo trip, and on the other hand, I want to talk to you more, chat, and learn more about interesting things, but I have less and less time.

Wen Hao and the old lady
A classroom in a primary school, yes, It's the classroom.
I also competed with the Egyptians in swimming, but I didn’t lose face to the Chinese hahaha
Because I was late in this project I came here for 15 days, and then classes were suspended for one day due to heavy rain, floods, GV, diarrhea and fever, my boss asked me to write a book manuscript, and other reasons. I didn’t go to school very often, and I couldn’t even remember the children’s names that were difficult to pronounce. , but their faces are extremely clear.
The AIESEC project is over. From the inability to integrate at the beginning, to the adaptation in the middle, and finally to not wanting to separate, even though there were unpleasant things in the middle, Overall, it was probably an unforgettable experience in this life. In fact, as I was writing and writing, I found that I wrote less about my reflections, more running accounts, and many animated videos could not be uploaded, which was a headache. I originally wanted to write about a few foreigners who impressed me deeply, such as David, Andreas, and some stories between Chinese people, those days of Avalon, and my understanding of the country of India...
It’s okay, there’s still the next article.
