Wang Zhongyang (1112-117), a pioneer of Quanzhen Taoism, was born in Xianyang (now Xianyang, Shaanxi Province). His original name was Zhongfu, whose name was Yunqing, and he changed his name to Cuo (or Zhe) after he entered Taoism. He was known as Chongyang Zi and claimed to be "harmful to the wind".
