What does Zhu Di’s Di mean? I mean what's in his name, thank you

When Zhu Yuanzhang named his descendants, he did it according to the character generation. Zhu Di used wood as the radical, that is, the character "wood". Di has no special meaning, just to match the character generation.

(1) Phonogram. Congmu, Lisheng. Original meaning: name of wood. Chang Di, that is, "Bai Di", refers to brothers

(2) The same as the original meaning. Such as: Diyou (referring to deep brotherhood, brotherly respect and mutual love); Di'e (Tangdi's flowers and calyx. A metaphor for brotherly love); Dihua Zengying (a metaphor for brotherly love); Dihua (of Chang Di's Hua, Yu brothers)

(3) Brother. Such as: Di Tai (a respectful name for the younger brother) Xian Di.

Zhu Di (May 2, 1360 - August 12, 1424), Ming Chengzu (reigned from 1402 to 1424), the fourth son of Ming Taizu, the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty, The reign name was Yongle, so later generations called him Yongle Emperor, Yongle Great Emperor, Yongle Emperor, etc.

Zhu Di was born in Yingtianfu (now Nanjing). After the establishment of the Ming Dynasty, he was named King of Yan. When he was in his hometown of Fengyang, he knew a lot about the people's sentiments. After becoming a vassal in Beiping (today's Beijing), he was ordered to participate in northern military activities many times and led the northern expedition twice, which strengthened his influence in the northern army. After Emperor Jianwen came to the throne, he adopted the policy of reducing vassal status. He not only monitored Zhu Di, but also wanted to mobilize his troops. Zhu Di launched the Jingnan Campaign and raised troops to attack Emperor Jianwen. In 1402, he proclaimed himself emperor in Nanjing.
