Introduction

4. Langzhong Gongyuan
Introduction
The examination shed in the Qing Dynasty was located on Xuedao Street in the city and was rebuilt during the Jiajing period of the Qing Dynasty. It originally consisted of a mountain gate, a corridor, an examination room, a main hall, a second hall, an apse and candidates' dormitories. The entire Gongyuan is well protected and is one of the only two remaining examination sheds in the country.
There is an existing rolling shed-style corridor, which is more than 50 meters long vertically and horizontally. There are flying fairy chairs on the wooden railings on both sides of the corridor. There are two rows of examination rooms on the left and right, each room separated by each other and decorated with carvings. The front yard is the examination room, the back yard is the living room, and there are cells all around.
During the exam, the rooms are numbered according to Heaven, Earth, Xuan, and Huang. Each numbered room has a small door for entry and exit. The main hall opposite the main door is a hall on the first floor and one bottom. This is where the examiners roll call, hand out papers, and invigilate the exam.
Gongyuan will arrange an imperial examination for visiting ancient times every day at 8:30 in the morning and 15:00 in the afternoon. You can become a candidate by paying a registration fee of about 20 yuan.
