I don’t think there is any suspicion of violation of regulations, because there is nothing wrong with naming a subway station after Huawei, both from a regulatory perspective and from a social impact perspective.
Shenzhen Metro Line 10 has been a hot topic recently. I didn’t know what was so special about this subway at first and why it aroused heated discussion on the Internet. Later I learned that there is a station called Huawei Station because Huawei’s Shenzhen headquarters is there. When I first saw this news, I thought it was the unique naming of Shenzhen rail tracks! Later I found out that some people said that such naming was illegal. After learning about it, I thought there was nothing illegal.
First of all, both Shenzhen Rail and the government have stated that there is nothing illegal in this matter. As far as I know, the relevant management laws of the Shenzhen government do say that under normal circumstances, corporate entities are not allowed to be used to name subway stations. Let’s analyze why it’s not allowed? In fact, the main reason is to avoid the suspicion that the government is promoting the company. We all know that once a company appears on such public facilities, it will actually bring a lot of benefits to the company, and may also lead to a series of effects such as an increase in the company's stock price and an increase in the value of related resources, so the government It was promulgated that under normal circumstances, companies cannot be named with the name of the company.
But we know that Huawei’s Shenzhen headquarters has long become one of Shenzhen’s landmark buildings. As China's largest ICT manufacturing services company, Huawei's reputation in the world is already well-known. The headquarters of more than one square kilometer in Bantian, Shenzhen is naturally extremely dazzling. Having taken root in the region for nearly 30 years, Huawei has become a local icon. Therefore, naming the platform after Huawei is entirely due to its influence and representativeness. Therefore, it is no longer a general situation. The government can implement it according to regulations, because the regulations do not explicitly prohibit it.
Finally, I don’t think there is anything wrong with naming it after the Huawei station among the public. It will not affect anyone’s daily life, will not cause a burden to society, and will not cause negative situations such as market imbalance.
