(1907-1912)

In 1907, Zhu Jianfan took the meaning of "Zhou Nan" from "The Book of Songs·Guofeng" and petitioned the Qing government for approval to officially establish the "Zhou Family School" It was renamed "Zhounan Girls' School". Specialized subjects such as sewing, music, and physical education have been added, and libraries, grade rooms, feeding gardens, and aesthetic education gardens have been opened to enrich extracurricular cultural and sports activities. The school began to hold sports meets once or twice a year. It was the first girls' school in Hunan Province to hold sports meets. In 1910, Xu Teli went to Shanghai and Japan to inspect education, so as to learn from the advanced experiences of others and improve Zhou Nan's teaching work. In the same year, Mr. Xu founded the weekly "Zhounan Education", which was the earliest educational publication in Hunan. In 1911, Zhu Jianfan led teachers and students to launch a struggle to regain Hunan, and later launched a struggle against Yuan Shikai's proclaimed emperor in the school.
