Wang Xifeng: The phoenix standing on the iceberg exposed to the sun.
(It is said that "the dead west wind" or "a sharp woman in vain") The author of "Dream of Red Mansions" cleverly used homophonic names to express his writing thoughts.
The four surnames Jia, Xue, Wang, and Shi are homophonic, meaning "pretending to write about the past."
"Qin Keqing" is homophonic to "情keqing". According to the sentence pattern in the "Tao De Jing", "dao ke dao", "qing keqing" should be followed by "very sentimental". Qin Keqing has an ambiguous relationship with his father-in-law. As an uncle, Jia Baoyu first learned about human affairs when he dreamed of a fairyland in Qin Keqing's bedroom, which corresponds to the word "very affectionate".
Qin Keqing’s younger brother Qin Zhong is homophonic to “love species”. It is implied that Jia Baoyu was sown with love in Ningguo Mansion and developed his talents in Rongguo Mansion. "Ning Guo Mansion" is homophonic to "Ning Guo Mansion", which is a place where love, heaven and sea of ??love are condensed into love body. The male names of the four generations of Ningguo Mansion are Jia Daihua, Jia Jing, Jia Zhen, and Jia Rong. When strung together, they sound homophonic to "dai (to) purify the true appearance", which condenses Jia Baoyu into a love body.
The twelve female sisters Yuan, Ying, Tan and Xi and the two sisters-in-law Xifeng and Li Wan among the twelve hairpins are homophonic to "should sigh at the late spring breeze"; Baochai, Daiyu, Ke Qing, Qiaojie, Miaoyu, Xiangyun. It's homophonic to "the difference is too erotic and the clever cloud". Two sentences form a couplet.
Jia Baoyu’s judgment is "feeling is not sentimental", which refers to "flowers are not flowers". Bai Juyi's "Hua Fei Hua" describes the frost flowers that condense on the windows at night in the north. Jia Baoyu's experience is like frost flowers, the glory is momentary and fleeting. It can be used as the horizontal batch of couplets.
So, Cao Xueqin used a couplet to summarize the story of "Dream of Red Mansions": I should have sighed at the late spring breeze, but I was so passionate about it. There is another implication: everything is blown away by the west wind (Wang Xifeng) like a cloud (a homophone of Shi Xiangyun).
