In the Eastern Han Dynasty, it was upgraded to Langya Kingdom and its capital was Kaiyang (today's Linyi). The county government of Langya County continued to move westward, which also caused the place name of Langya to lose its support. Place names also change with the migration of county governments, so "Linyi" replaced "Langya".
