Activity goals

1. Be able to use dots to represent watermelon seeds.

2. Learn to use cotton swabs to draw dots within the specified range and experience the fun of painting with special tools.

Activity process

1. Introduction activities:

Read the riddle please Children guess and arouse their interest. The riddle is as follows:

2. Group activities:

(1) Use black Paint watermelon seeds.

Q: What color are watermelon seeds?

3. Classroom activities:

(1) Guide children to observe the picture and explain: big watermelon, round, red flesh, black seeds and green skin.

Children, please add melon seeds to these watermelons!

(2) Learn how to draw with cotton swabs: Use your thumb, index finger, and middle finger to pinch the middle of the cotton swab, and dip the cotton part in the paint for painting. Do not dip too much in the paint; if your little hand accidentally dips in the paint, you can wipe it off with a rag.

(3) Provide guidance on children’s painting. Children are asked not to draw the dots too big, but to arrange the dots evenly and to have the same size.

4. Game activity: watermelon coloring
