As the founder of Confucianism and the promoter of the theory of benevolent government, Confucius occupies an important position in the history of Chinese politics and culture. Let us take a look at how later generations placed the heroic soul of this sage.
In 551 BC, Confucius was born in Zouyi, State of Lu, where the mountains and rivers are beautiful and the scenery is pleasant. Kong He, who was eager to have a son, once prayed for a son in Niqiu Mountain. Confucius's father, Kong He, was extremely happy to have a son in his old age. It is said that Confucius had a strange appearance after birth, with his head low in the middle and high on the four sides, much like Niqiu Mountain. Therefore, Kong He thought that the gods had blessed the Confucius family, so he named his son Qiu, with the courtesy name Zhongni, to thank the gods.
The birth of Confucius brought joy and auspiciousness to the Confucius family, but it did not dilute the deserted scene in front of the Confucius family at all. Confucius' father only married Yan Zhengzai when he was 64 years old. Yan Zhengzai was only 17 years old at the time. It was not in line with etiquette at the time for an old husband and a young wife. But who could have expected that decades later, Confucius would become a prominent figure famous all over the world; hundreds or thousands of years later, Confucius' mansion would become a sacred place because of Confucius' birth, and Confucius would also become a sacred place because of Confucius' birth. The cemetery has become a holy place for tens of millions of people to worship and pay homage, and it has become a simple, natural and poetic place of interest. Confucius was once named the "Dacheng Saint Wenxuan King". If Confucius' cemetery is completely qualified to be called a mausoleum, why is it called "Confucius Lin"?
