What are arthropods?

Arthropods are egg-laying invertebrate animals. ?

Characteristics are:

1. The body is divided into three segments - head, chest, and abdomen;

2. It has a hard shell;

3. Paired, symmetrical, segmented appendages—legs, antennae, mouthparts, and tactile organs.

Arthropoda is the largest phylum in the animal kingdom, commonly known as arthropods, including well-known shrimps, crabs, spiders, mosquitoes, flies, centipedes and extinct trilobites. There are approximately 1.1 to 1.2 million extant species in the world, accounting for 75-80% of the total number of extant species. Arthropods live in a wide range of environments, whether in sea water, fresh water, soil, or in the air. Some species also live inside or outside other animals.
