Bianjing (formerly known as Tokyo, now Kaifeng), the capital of the Northern Song Dynasty, and Lin'an (now Hangzhou), the capital of the Southern Song Dynasty.
The imperial palaces in the two capitals were called "Imperial City", "Imperial Palace" or "Ouchi".
Because most emperors of the two Song Dynasties "did not like large-scale construction projects," the imperial palaces of the two dynasties did not form a complete architectural community.
So I didn’t bother to name it.
However, there were many royal gardens and gardens in the Song Dynasty, such as Jujing Garden, Yujin Garden, Fujing Garden, Pingshan Garden, Yuhu Garden, Qionghua Garden
Garden, Xiaoyin Garden, Jifang Garden, Yanxiang Garden, etc.
So it is not quite accurate to say that the emperors of the Song Dynasty were frugal.
They did not spend much effort to build the palace, but they did spend more money to build the gardens.
The above "does not like large-scale construction" plus double quotation marks also means the same.
