The Liaoning aircraft carrier, referred to as "Liaoning", hull number 16, is the first aircraft carrier of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy that can carry fixed-wing aircraft. The predecessor of the "Liaoning Ship" was the Varyag, the second ship of the Soviet Navy's Marshal Kuznetsov-class aircraft carrier. In the mid-to-late 1980s, when the Varyag was being built in Ukraine, the Soviet Union collapsed and the project was interrupted.
In 1995, the Varyag was withdrawn from the Russian Navy and handed over to Ukraine. In 1999, China purchased the Varyag and arrived at Dalian Port on March 4, 2003. On April 26, 2005, it was delivered to Dalian Shipyard, and was modified, installed and continued to be built by the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
In September 2012, it was renamed Liaoning and delivered to the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy. It became China's first modern aircraft carrier and was successfully launched for the first time in November 2012. Extended information
There are more than ten floors below the flight deck of the Liaoning ship. Entering the third floor, it feels like a maze. There are passages and cabins everywhere. The total length of the passages inside the entire aircraft carrier is dozens of kilometers. , one can imagine how complex the internal structure of the aircraft carrier is.
The Liaoning ship has more than 3,000 cabins, and more than 1,000 people live in the cabins. There are many rules for traveling inside an aircraft carrier. For example, if you want to go to the bow, you need to go to the port side, which is the left channel. If you want to go to the stern, if you want to go to the starboard side, you need to use the right channel. When going up and down the escalator, follow the rules of going up first and then going down.
