Camping Strategies in Zhangjiakou Mo Tian Tourist Area

For camping sites around Beijing, I recommend Mo Tian to camp in Huailai County, 80km away from Beijing. Have you ever camped in the desert? Besides camping, you can also skate, ride camels, have bonfire parties and eat delicious food.

Mo Tian tourist area

Address:

Huailai County, Beijing is about 80 kilometers away from Beijing.

It is a natural desert with an area of 1300 mu, just at the foot of Yanshan Mountain in Guanting Reservoir. And there is a sandy land between the mountains and rivers. More than ten miles away are surrounded by sand dunes, with unique desert scenery and a unique name, Mo Tian.

The source of sand dunes, some people say that it was blown here by the wind, others say that the terrain is special, and nothing can survive, but it can only become sand dunes.

Game characteristics

Natural beauty is the closest to the desert beauty of Beijing.

Human landscape, standing on the sand dunes, with the clear Guanting Reservoir in the north and Dujun Mountain in the south. In a foothill area, there is also a rammed earth beacon tower, which is the remains of the Yan Great Wall.

From Jingcheng Expressway on Madian Bridge on the Third Ring Road in Beijing to Badaling Great Wall Scenic Area, then turn right to the direction of Yanqing Kangzhuang and go all the way west through Kangzhuang Town.
