The law of typhoon naming

The rule of typhoon naming is that countries and regions around the typhoon make a naming table in advance, and then recycle it year after year in sequence.

There are *** 140 names on this typhoon naming list, and 14 names are provided by 14 countries and regions including China. Among them, the names provided by Chinese mainland are: Dragon King, Wukong, Yutu, Haiyan, Fengshen, Poseidon, Rhododendron, Dian Mu, Haima and Haitang. The names of typhoon fireworks that landed in Zhejiang and other places during this period were provided by China and Macau, which means fireworks.

Although the names of these typhoons are generally elegant and peaceful, it is expected that the losses caused by typhoons will be less. But some typhoons wreak havoc, which will bring great casualties and economic losses. Once a typhoon is notorious, causing heavy loss of life and property or casualties, its name will be deleted from the typhoon naming table and will no longer be used by other typhoons.

Brief introduction of typhoon

Typhoon is a strong tropical cyclone produced on the tropical ocean surface, which is often accompanied by strong winds and heavy rains. The wind rotates counterclockwise, and the isobar and isotherm are approximately a set of concentric circles, with the lowest central air pressure and the highest temperature. Tropical cyclones released by China Meteorological Bureau are divided into six grades according to the maximum surface wind speed near the center, namely super typhoon, strong typhoon, typhoon, strong tropical storm, tropical storm and tropical depression.

The conditions for typhoon formation are that the natural conditions should have a sufficiently wide tropical ocean surface, the surface temperature of seawater should be higher than 26.5 degrees Celsius, and the depth of seawater layer on the ocean surface should be at least 60 meters. There must be a tropical vortex, and there must be enough earth rotation deviation. Before the formation of typhoon, there was little difference between wind direction and wind speed in high and low space. Typhoon brings abundant fresh water to people, and its huge energy flow keeps the earth in thermal balance and makes people live and work in peace and contentment.
