The lantern rivet is a special blind rivet produced and processed by multi-station cold heading equipment. After the lantern rivet is riveted, the nail head will become like a lantern, so it is called Named Lantern Rivet.
Lantern rivets are mainly used for riveting plastic, fragile and weak objects. After riveting, there are three auxiliary heads forming a large closure on the back of the riveted plate. This design provides greater surface bearing capacity and avoids the nail head sinking or drilling through the riveting hole that occurs when using ordinary rivets.
