3 Overview Rice bud is the name of traditional Chinese medicine, see Manual of Chinese Herbal Medicine [1]. That is, the grain bud contained in Compendium of Materia Medica [1]. It is obtained by germinating and drying the mature fruit of Gramineae rice [2].

12.2 source this product is a processed product of the mature fruit of Gramineae rice after germination and drying. After the rice is soaked in water, keep the proper temperature and humidity, and dry it when the fibrous roots grow to about 1cm.
12.3 features this product is rectangular, slightly pointed at both ends, 7 ~ 9mm long and about 3mm in diameter. Lemma yellow, with white fine hairs and 5 veins. There are two symmetrical white striped paddles at one end, 2 ~ 3mm long, and one paddle protrudes 1 ~ 3 curved fibrous roots, 0.5 ~1.2cm long. Hard, white part, powdery. A slight breath, a faint taste.
