Why Duke Zhou?

Duke Zhou's allusions come from The Analects.

Duke Zhou was a politician in the early Western Zhou Dynasty. He assisted in becoming the Regent and made great contributions to the Zhou Dynasty. Later, he was honored as a saint.

During the Spring and Autumn Period, Confucius highly praised Duke Zhou's way of governing the country. In his early years, he learned the knowledge of six arts handed down from the Western Zhou Dynasty and mastered the Huang Zhang system of the Western Zhou Dynasty. He admired the political system of the Western Zhou Dynasty very much, and thought that the society of the Western Zhou Dynasty was a perfect society. Duke Zhou became the most desirable figure in his mind, so that he often dreamed of Duke Zhou.
