Usually constipation does not cause abdominal pain. Abdominal pain caused by constipation is mostly due to the accumulation of gas in the intestine or spasmodic constipation. If there is gas accumulation, refer to the massage treatment for constipation and abdominal distension, which can expel the gas and relieve pain. As for spastic constipation, it is caused by strong spasm in a part of the large intestine, causing abdominal pain. Pay attention to the following points during massage therapy.

① Apply finger pressure to the pulse point in the gallbladder meridian. Most people only need to finger-press the acupuncture points with pulses in the gallbladder meridian to achieve effective results. The pulses are located on the side of the body, equivalent to the center of the height of the navel. Pressing the thumb towards the center of the body can relieve pain.

② Liangqiu point and Zusanli of the lower limbs. Liangqiu is a famous point for treating gastrointestinal pain. For general abdominal pain, as long as the pulse point and Liangqiu point are stimulated, almost all pain can be relieved. Liangqiu is located three fingers above the kneecap on the front and outer side of the thigh. When you have stomach or abdominal pain, it will hurt if you press it.

③ Warm the abdomen. You can rub your hands to generate heat to warm your abdomen, or you can use hot compresses. If abdominal pain is accompanied by fever or other symptoms such as diarrhea, the above method cannot be used to treat it.
