(turning): Causes of water leakage:
(1) Poor design and hardware processing of the window frame itself or poor installation cause water leakage.
1. The installation methods of window frames can be divided into angle iron fixing and welding fixing. The former has poor stability and is prone to water leakage.
2. Cracks appear in the vertical and horizontal waterstops of window frames or poor expansion joints cause water leakage.
3. Water leakage caused by defects such as installation joints of window frame hardware (bolt holes and tapping holes) and fixed points for pushing open windows.
4. Poor handling of secondary waterproof holes such as plate joint, material joint, cover joint and interlayer displacement causes water leakage.
5. Problems caused by poor installation of window frames, such as: (1) cork pad bricks not removed; (2) The fixing point of the expansion screw is poorly sealed; (3) The height of tile surface exceeds the horizontal material under the window frame.
6. Air tightness and water tightness of glass installation joints and water leakage caused by improper PVC strips.
(2) the structure itself or material interface defects lead to water leakage.
1. Because the wall structure itself is cracked or honeycombed, rainwater intensively penetrates into the window frame.
2. Due to improper design, splayed shear joints appear at the opening of the structure.
3. Cement mortar joint filling construction is not true:
A. Before caulking construction, the cushion brick, cork and sundries were not removed in advance, and the construction was rushed.
B the dust and dirt on the surface of the window structure have not been removed and wetted in advance.
C the cement sand ratio is improper (the best ratio is 1: 2.5, but the caulking workers raise it to 1: 4 or 1: 5 at will for the convenience of operation).
D Improper water-cement ratio-if the water-cement ratio is too high, there will be too many pores in the cement mortar, and the larger the pore size, the higher the water absorption rate; Low water cement ratio and incomplete hydration will affect the strength of cement mortar and increase water absorption.
E. Cement mortar is mixed without waterproof agent (the best waterproof material is polymer series).
F weaknesses such as shrinkage cracks, holes and sand formation often exist on the finished surface of caulking.
G. The part with too small gap is hastily constructed or the filling material is poor.
4. Improper construction procedures:
A. Stick PVC bars first, and then carry out joint filling construction-this will make joint filling difficult and lead to hasty construction.
B. Brush the base first, then the waterproof paint-turn the window upside down.
5. Due to improper design, measurement error or illegal reconstruction, the gap at the frame edge is too large, and the following wrong construction is adopted:
A. Inverted construction —— After bricklaying and plugging, paint the base first, and then apply waterproof coating on the surface (due to the high water absorption rate of red bricks, the correct construction method should be directly handed over to waterproof construction after completion).
B, directly with quick-drying cement mortar joint filling, 2-3 months later, a number of horizontal cracks, water leakage.
C. Using cheap calcium chloride series quick-drying waterproofing agent for construction, after 2~3 months, chloride ions in the quick-drying agent will react with copper sulfate coated on the surface of the window frame, which will not only decompose the paste crystals of calcium sulfate, but also make the seams of the window frame leak due to rust cracking.
6. After the embroidered surface of ceramic tile is completed, the waterway caulking construction is improper, resulting in cracking or inclination, which leads to water leakage.
Solution:
The way to solve this problem thoroughly is not only to ensure the cracks around the window frame by pouring remedy (it is recommended to pour non-shrinkage cement with small shrinkage and imported low-shrinkage PU pouring material, etc.). ), but also on the exterior wall with waterproof glue or spray waterproofing agent. It is suggested that elastic cement should be coated with steel mesh before tiling. If the window frame leaks seriously, it is suggested that silicate series waterproof materials be used for the inner wall.
