Lingnan Park borders Fenxi Road to the south, Baode Road to the north, Anye Road to the east, and Lingnan Road to the west. The entire park covers an area of ??approximately 38,300 square meters.
The park site was originally farmland. In 1984, a park was built here as a supporting project of Pengpu New Village (East Block). Zhuang Wei of the Shanghai Garden Design Institute was responsible for the overall planning and design of the park construction project, and the construction was carried out by the Shanghai Garden Engineering Company. The double pavilion flower bed is located outside the southwest gate of the garden. The flower bed is 13 meters long, 12 meters wide and 1 meter high, covering an area of ??156 square meters. The retaining wall is decorated with bricks and cement. Five-needle pine, podocarpus, octagonal golden plate, redbud and palm are planted on the altar. A string of red is planted under the trees, and patches of calendula flowers are planted on the south side. The edges are paved with horseshoe gold turf. In the center of the flower bed, there is a small white building that looks like a pavilion but not a pavilion, all of which are reinforced concrete structures. The pavilion is 4.6 meters high and has no roof. It is composed of a square frame with three staggered floors supported by 4 columns and has a unique shape.
The platform sculpture is located inside the park gate. The trapezoidal platform is 1 meter high, 25 meters long and 22 meters wide, and has steps on all sides. The platform floor is paved with granite, and the surrounding areas are also veneered with granite. The flower bed in the center of the platform is 6.2 meters long, 5.5 meters wide and 0.10 meters high, with grass and flowers planted inside. There is a sculpture of the Architectural Society's logo in the flower bed, which is made of copper and cross-shaped. There are square candlesticks with a side length of 0.38 meters in the middle and at the top of each of the four tops. The sculpture is 1.4 meters high and the base covered with yellow tiles is 0.42 meters high. There are 7 sets of cement long tables and stools in the east, west and north of the platform. Flower beds are built around the platform, and green cypress, phoenix cypress, and melon seeds and boxwood balls are planted. Boxwood, camellia, rose and other flowering shrubs.
The large lawn is located in the south of the middle part of the park, connected to the platform in the southwest and Saxi in the north, covering an area of ??about 6,800 square meters. The lawn is high in the south and low in the north, naturally sloping toward the river, with tiger grass planted on it. There are 6 tree altars around the lawn, planted with cedars and cypresses. Evergreen trees such as palm, camphor, heather, osmanthus, bayberry, melon seeds, boxwood and camellia are scattered around the edges. On the southwest side of the lawn is a cedar tree altar, with a row of tall cedars running north to south.
The Flower Pavilion is located in the west of the middle part of the garden, bordering the river to the east and the large lawn to the south. The pavilion is a reinforced concrete structure, square, with a flat roof and a protruding drainage channel in the center of the cornice, covering an area of ??25 square meters. The four corners of the pavilion are supported by four trapezoidal walls covered with red stone slabs. The upper and lower widths are 1.2 meters and 3.25 meters respectively. They open out from the corners of the pavilion in a figure-eight shape. The pavilion's floor is paved in the middle with four circles of two-axe polished granite and chiseled granite. The outer circle is made of white terrazzo with copper strips. Four white terrazzo low-back seats are arranged in an arc. There is a group of round stone tables and benches by the river to the east of the pavilion. Metasequoia, privet and sea daffodils are planted in the west of the pavilion. There are crape myrtle and bayberry balls in the south of the pavilion.
Mingyue Pavilion is located in the northwest of the park. Pavilion white, mixed structure, flat roof, area 112.8 square meters. There is a 1.3-meter-high reinforced concrete wall on the north side of the pavilion. There is a circular leaky window on the 1.8-meter-high curved wall in the middle of the pavilion. On the east side of the pavilion is a platform extending out of the water, with metal railings on three sides. The grindstone of the platform is used to place 3 sets of tables and stools on the floor. Xixi is a mixed forest of privet and camphor.
Yuan Lake and Jianmei Island Yuan Lake has two pools in the north and south, which are met by a 25-meter-long stream. The South Pool is located in the middle of the garden, wide in the east and narrow in the west, with an area of ??about 5,000 square meters; the North Pool is located in the northwest of the garden, slightly oval-shaped, with an area of ??about 1,500 square meters. A peninsula is formed in the west of the garden between the two ponds. The island is planted with metasequoia, Japanese cedar, red-leafed plum, lilac, cypress, hibiscus, ten sisters, hydrangeas and other shrubs. There is a stone arch bridge in the northeastern part of the peninsula across the stream and connected to the other side. Jianbi Island is located at the west end of Nanchi. It is dumbbell-shaped from east to west and covers an area of ??about 400 square meters. The island is surrounded by stone revetments, and weeping willows are planted on the island, along with metasequoia, narrow-leaf ten meritorious deeds, red-leaf plum and ten sisters.
Quqiao is located on the east bank of Nanchi. The bridge is a right-angled, reinforced concrete structure, 20 meters long and 2 meters wide. There are three diamond-shaped concrete frames with a height of 4.5 meters on the bridge. There is a roofless pavilion on the north side of the east end of the bridge. It is a concrete structure, 4 meters high, and consists of 4 columns and 4 beams with a pointed roof. The northern end of the bridge is connected to a polygonal platform extending into the pool, with metal railings placed beside the platform. There is a pointed square pavilion with a reinforced concrete structure on the platform, covering an area of ??8 square meters. There are three cement benches between the pavilion pillars and an ashlar table in the middle. Plant crape myrtle, crabapple and rose behind the platform.
The children's garden is located in the southeast of the park, covering an area of ??1,080 square meters. There are electric motorcycles, swing machines, small trains and other amusement facilities in the park. In addition, there are 10 elevated bicycles with a track length of about 400 meters, and 20 electric yachts in the pool.
The teahouse is located behind the platform on the east bank of Nanchi. The plane is like two superimposed irregular geometric figures, with a mixed structure, creamy yellow, and an area of ??372 square meters. The interior has a glass ceiling, which is spacious and bright. Trees and shrubs such as cedar, camphor, magnolia grandiflora, podocarpus, palm, mosquito mother, clove, osmanthus, hypericum, hemp leaf hydrangea, etc. are planted around the outdoor area.
