Miaoying Temple, commonly known as Baita Temple, is located at No. 171, Fuchengmennei Street, Xicheng District, Beijing.
It was first built in the 16th year of Yuan Dynasty (1279) and rebuilt in the first year of Mingshun (1457). The white pagoda in the temple is the earliest and largest Yuan Dynasty Tibetan pagoda in China. It is wonderful. Ying Temple faces south and covers an area of ??about 13,000 square meters. It is composed of two parts: the main courtyard and the pagoda courtyard. 1. Mountain Gate
The mountain gate is three rooms wide, with eight-character screen walls on the east and west sides. 2. Dajue Treasure Hall
The Dajue Treasure Hall is located to the north of Tianwang Hall, with a width of five rooms. There is a platform in front, and the third Buddha is enshrined inside. The ceiling is made of three coiled dragon caissons. , there is a corridor behind the hall leading to the Seven Buddha Hall.
3. The Seven Buddha Hall
The Seven Buddha Hall is located to the north of the Dajue Hall. It is five rooms wide and houses seven Buddha statues. There are eighteen Arhats on both sides and three coiled dragons on the ceiling. There is a caisson and a corridor in front of the hall leading to the Dajuebao Hall.
4. White Pagoda
The White Pagoda is located to the north of the center of the pagoda courtyard. It is a Lama Pagoda. It is as white as silver. The tower is 50.9 meters high. The base of the tower is a three-story square folded Xumizuo. The upper part is a rosette made of semicircular protruding lotus petals and a belt-shaped diamond ring supporting the tower body. The bowl-shaped tower body is surrounded by seven iron hoops. The top of the thirteenth day supports a diameter of 9.9 meters and is covered with forty radial blocks. Thirty-six copper openwork tassels and wind chimes are hung around the copper-tiled canopy. The top of the canopy has a small copper tower-shaped crown, which is nearly five meters high and weighs four tons.
