1. Choose the right skateboard:
When buying a skateboard, be sure to choose a skateboard that suits your height and weight. Novices can choose shorter and lighter skateboards, which are easier to control. Please consult the sales staff for relevant information when purchasing.
2. Be familiar with the basic movements:
The basic movements of skateboarding include standing, sliding, braking and turning. Please make sure that you have a basic understanding of these basic movements before you start learning. You can learn these basic movements by watching teaching videos, reading textbooks or consulting experienced skaters.
3. Safety protection measures:
Please make sure that you have taken necessary safety precautions before you start learning skateboarding. Wear protective equipment such as helmets, wrist pads and knee pads to prevent falls and abrasions.
4. Stand and balance:
Standing on a skateboard is the first step in skateboarding. Feet shoulder width apart, toes slightly outward, heels close to the skateboard. Keep your body center of gravity between your feet and gradually get used to the feeling of standing on the skateboard.
5. Slides:
After learning to stand, you can begin to learn to slide. Put your feet on both ends of the skateboard to keep balance, then lean forward and let the skateboard slide forward. During the sliding process, keep the center of gravity stable, constantly adjust the position of your feet and keep balance.
6. Brake:
Braking is one of the key skills of skateboarding. You can brake in the following two ways: foot brake and hand brake. When braking, put one foot on the tail of the skateboard and apply pressure with the forefoot to slow down the skateboard. When braking by hand, grasp the two sides of the front end of the skateboard with your hands and press it inward with your wrist to slow down the skateboard.
7. Turn:
When skateboarding, you need to learn to turn. When turning, move the center of gravity to one side of the skateboard and tilt in the same direction. As the turn progresses, the center of gravity constantly moves between the two sides to maintain balance.
