Laozi's life experience
Laozi was born in the Spring and Autumn Period, and the year of his birth and death has been controversial. Some people say that he is a descendant of Peng Zu, so I hope he can benefit the people, so I gave him Li's daughter. There are few historical records about his birth. The birth of Laozi is full of legends. He was born surrounded by purple gas, even the sky was surrounded by purple gas. The villagers all think this is a good sign. Lao Zi's mother Shi Linan gave birth to Lao Zi. When she was about to die, Shi Li cut open her stomach with a kitchen knife and left her last words, hoping that her children would benefit for life. In this way, Li left, but Lao Tzu survived.
The newborn Laozi has a round forehead and a high nose, but his little hair is gray. In addition, Lao Tzu's ears are surprisingly big, so he was named Li Wei. Interestingly, because Laozi was born in the Year of the Tiger, the villagers called him raccoon dog, which later evolved into Li Er.
There is another explanation for the origin of Laozi's name. It is said that Lao Tzu's mother was named Li Er because she was pregnant for a long time and ate plums before giving birth.
I was smart since I was a child, and I was extremely concerned about national policies, wars, sacrifices and stargazing. He is kind-hearted and often helps the villagers. When he grows up, he will be a lifelong beneficiary and the founder of Taoism, as his mother expected.
As for how old I have lived and how much knowledge I have in my stomach, no one knows. To people, he is the stalwart old man. As for what he left to people, although it is not wealth, it is more important than wealth. Most importantly, it will not disappear with the passage of time.
What are the legends of Laozi?
Laozi is the founder of Taoist school and the author of Tao Te Ching. I became Laozi because he was born with white eyebrows and white beard. There are two classic legends about Laozi, one is about his birth, and the other is the legend that he rode a green cow out of Hangu Pass.
First, he was born. It is said that when Laozi's mother was washing clothes by the lake, a plum floated upstream. At that time, she was just thirsty, so she fished it up and ate it, and then she got pregnant. It is said that he was born after decades of pregnancy and came out to save society all his life. He pointed to the plum tree in his yard and said, this is his surname. Later, because of his big ears, his family named him Li Er.
There is also a saying that after seeing the decline of the Zhou Dynasty, Lao Tzu decided to leave his hometown and wanted to travel around. Yin, the company commander of Hanguguan, saw purple gas coming from the east. Once again, I came here on a green cow. He didn't give up Lao Tzu's departure, so it was difficult for him to keep books. Lao Tzu did take it out, which was the later Tao Te Ching. The green ox has also become a famous image in Taoist culture, and it is also the mount of immortal Taoist priests. Lao Tzu is also known as? Teacher Qing Niu? 、? Green ox Weng? . After I left Hangu Pass, it is said that I became a fairy directly, and there is no record of his activities in the world.
Most of the legends about Laozi are mysterious and mythical things. Although none of them are credible, it is undeniable that Laozi will be mythologized by later generations, because his achievements make people respect him so much and respect him as a god. After all, people at that time still believed in God.
What is Laozi's wisdom in life?
Laozi's wisdom in life can be seen from his thoughts. Laozi put forward many ideas in his life. From the summary of these thoughts, we can see that Laozi's life wisdom mainly includes three aspects: being good as water and doing nothing without virtue.
Among them, what do we often mention? Doing nothing? This wisdom. This kind of wisdom contains his thought of living in peace with the world and opposing war. Lao Tzu once said that he felt that the best living condition was that even if he could hear the voice of chickens and dogs and talk with his neighbors, he had better die of old age and not communicate with each other, and advocated inaction and self-cultivation.
Morality, on the other hand, is because Laozi once said that morality has no substance and can be said to be the most invisible force, which can penetrate anything hard. Using morality to restrain behavior can often achieve very good results, and this wisdom is often learned by future generations. After all, morality is the most basic thing to abide by.
Being good as water is the highest realm of life and the peak of Laozi's life wisdom. Water is soft, but it has not lost its nature. Treating others with a gentle character like water, and keeping noble like water, never losing its nature, is the highest criterion for being a man.
Of course, in addition to the above three kinds of life wisdom, there are many other aspects of Lao Zi's life wisdom. It can be said that the reason why later generations can't separate his myth from his thought is because many wise people understand it, but it is difficult to do it. Therefore, Lao Tzu is not only verbally speaking, but also his own actions often reflect these wisdom, and he is a rare saint.
