Characteristics of Daming Xuande Porcelain

1. Modeling features: The overall style of Ming Xuande porcelain is majestic, solemn and simple, with many large vessels. Compared with vegetables, bowls and dishes, it is much more difficult to make. The carcass is divided into upper and lower parts and then bonded together. The carcass is thick, the production is very regular, the proportion is coordinated, and there is no deformation, which shows that the molding technology and firing technology are very mature, the bottom of the big plate is shallow, and the soles are restrained. Small objects are exquisite, moderately thick and elegant in artistic style.

2. Characteristics of the carcass and foot: The carcass of Ming Xuande porcelain is thicker than Yongle, and the fetal quality is fine, thin, white and hard. Plum bottles, large plates and large cans are mostly plain white with fine sand bottom, with smooth hands and red spots on their feet. Small and medium-sized devices are glazed bottoms.

3. Glaze color characteristics: The glaze color of Ming Xuande porcelain is full and moist, soft and not dazzling, with white glaze and blue glaze, commonly known as "bright blue glaze". The glaze is not smooth, like orange peel, commonly known as "orange peel glaze", and there are few glazes. If you look at it under a high magnification magnifying glass, the glaze is covered with large and small bubbles, and even small bubbles rub against large bubbles.

4. Blue and white materials: There are two kinds of blue and white materials for Ming Xuande porcelain: imported suma and linen.
