2. Remove the rear brake drum.
When the tire is removed, the brake drum can be seen. Tap the surface of the brake drum lightly with a hammer to loosen the drum and then remove it.
3. Remove the return spring.
Insert the opening into the spring gap, lift it forcibly, and remove the return spring. If you want to replace the brake pads, you must remove this spring.
4. Remove the fixing screws.
Remove the screws that hold the brake pads with pliers. A wheel has two front and rear brake pads and two fixing screws.
5. Remove the front and rear brake pads.
After the above steps are completed, the brake pad will automatically fall off from the brake. Just take off the brake pads at this time. It should be noted that small things on the brake pads, such as self-adjusting devices, cannot be lost.
6. Assemble new brake pads.
Remove the locating pin from the old brake pad and install it on the new brake pad. After the two sides are assembled, the brakes can be installed, or the front and rear brake pads can be installed separately in sequence.
7. Adjust the height of the handbrake.
After installing the brake pads, it is necessary to adjust the height of the hand brake. Pulling the ratchet wheel of the self-adjusting device with the opening can lower the hand brake, and the braking effect is better when pulling the hand, but don't adjust it too tightly. When installing a new brake drum for debugging, you can feel the resistance.
8. Finally, install the brake drum.
After installing and checking the brake pads, you can install a new brake drum and install the tires.
