To learn Chinese calligraphy, you should learn regular script first, and start from stippling. Mastered the basic form and writing method of stippling, no matter how the strokes of the words on the copybook change, it is easy to grasp the essentials and learn its shape and spirit when copying.
The basic strokes of eight Chinese brush are analyzed as follows:
First, the point, the basic form: head tip, tail circle, flat abdomen, back circle.
The pen tip falls on the paper (you can lick the pen tip first and put it down gently). Spread the pen to the right and lower sides, and it will get heavier and heavier. In the lower half, gently lift the nib, then put it down and wrap it around your back. Make a brisk and powerful sound from the lower abdomen. Point writing requirements: look at the posture before, and then see clearly.
Second, horizontal, basic shape: the head is square (oblique) and the tail is round, and the middle section is slightly thinner.
The nib starts from right to left and goes backwards. Write straight (or slightly oblique). Return the nib to the center by lifting, run to the right along the stroke center line, and lift the pen slightly in the middle. At the end, the pen tip is slightly raised, then put down to the right, circle like a dot, and then close the pen tip to the left quickly and forcefully. Note: You can't throw the pen hard, and the middle part and both ends can't be the same thickness, which makes it stiff.
Third, vertical, the basic form: the role of erecting columns requires strong writing, like a person's chest and waist standing up, there are two kinds of hanging vertical and hanging needle vertical.
The nib is retrograde upward. Put the pen horizontally (or slightly obliquely) and tilt it to the right. Twist the nib slightly to the left and right, adjust the nib, and then write down. Go to the tail, raise the front slightly, and close the front from the left. The only difference between hanging needle vertical writing and hanging vertical writing is that it has a front at the end of the tail. Key points: Like a needle, it is very thick, and the front can't be too long or too thin.
