Basic foot position
When doing all foot positions, turn your legs outward. Turning out must be done from the buttocks, not just turning out the feet.

Third position: From the second position, raise your foot to the tip, then wipe the floor and return it to the front of the other foot. Place the heel of the front foot in the middle of the instep of the back foot (arc position).
This position will not be used during performances except for dancing certain folk dances or historical dances. However, in class, it is used for beginners to train before doing the fifth position. .
Fourth position (inner four position): Wipe the ground from the third position to the front, stretch and collapse, and then slowly put the feet back on the ground, with a foot's distance between the front foot and the back foot.
Fourth position (outside four position): similar to the inner four position, except that the heel of the front foot is exactly aligned with the toe of the rear foot, and the toe of the front foot is aligned with the heel of the rear foot. There is a gap between the front foot and the rear foot. foot distance.
Fifth position: The front foot stretches and tips from the fourth position, and then slowly puts the foot back in front of the rear foot. The heel of the front foot is just aligned with the toe of the rear foot, and the tip of the front foot is aligned with the heel of the rear foot. .
Sixth position (one position for balance): Feet side by side, toes forward.
Preparation position: The preparation position before certain combined actions. Stand with one foot first, place the other foot behind the body, with the knees slightly bent and close to the inside of the back of the knee of the front leg.
