For some specific fates, in some cases, the heavenly stems play a major role, and in other cases, the earthly branches play a major role. In most cases, the main branch and the branch work at the same time, so heavenly stems and earthly branches is very important. Although there are primary and secondary points, they cannot be separated. In "Dripping Water", on the day of breaking the eight characters, when the main five elements rise and fall, it is said that it is better to get two or three days' work than to get the tomb. As for who is lighter, it should be judged according to the trunk and branches, as follows:

For example, Jia Yin, Mao Yi, Bing Wu, Ding Si, Chen Wu, the Reform Movement of 1898, Ji Chou, Ji Si, Geng Shen, Xin You, Ren Zi, Gui Hai, etc. If heavenly stems and earthly branches's five elements are the same, then the strength of the branches is the same.

First, heavenly stems and earthly branches, the qi of the sky is lower than that of the earthly branch. Such as Wu Jia, Yisi, Chen Bing, Xu Bing, Ding Chou, Ding Wei, Wushen, Ji You, Gengzi, Xinhai, Renyin and Guimao.
Second, heavenly stems and earthly branches's suffering, called cutting foot. Such as Shen Jia, Yiyou, Bingzi, Dinghai, Wuyin, Jimao, Wu Geng, Xinsi, Ren Xu and Guiwei.
Third, heavenly stems and earthly branches, the transportation is based on the party, and the ground is supported by the ground. The sky is dry and close to the tomb, and the sky is weak. Such as Jia Xu, Yi Wei, Bing Shen, Ding You, Woods, Ji Hai, Geng Yin, Xin Mao, Ren Wu, Gui Si, etc. The above three kinds are mainly earthly branches, with reference to heavenly stems.

Such as Jia Zi, Yi Hai, Bing Yin, Ding Mao, Wu Wu, Keith, Chen Geng, Xin Chou, Ren Shen and Gui You. The qi of the earthly branch rises above the stem, and the power of the heavenly stem is heavy, referring to the earthly branch.
