For patients with ankle fractures who need surgery, the following points should be noted after surgery:
1. Ankle fracture will obviously swell after operation, which can be relieved by electrotherapy, medication and raising the affected limb. After a period of treatment, the swelling will subside, but the patient will swell again after walking on the ground or the affected limb is in a drooping posture for a period of time. It takes 6- 12 months for the swelling to completely subside.
2. Deep venous thrombosis may also occur in lower extremity surgery, and the possibility of deep venous thrombosis in lower extremity can be reduced by ankle flexion.
3. For patients with comminuted ankle fracture who can not achieve strong internal fixation, ankle functional exercise should be delayed after operation.
4. Attention should be paid in the process of postoperative rehabilitation exercise, and the weight of the load should be determined according to the operation situation and the X-ray after operation.
5. For patients with conservative treatment, it is recommended to brake within 2 weeks. Generally, you can walk on the ground without load after 4 weeks, and then gradually increase the load according to the recovery situation until you are fully loaded.
6. For patients undergoing ankle surgery, it is not necessary to take out the steel plate after ankle internal fixation, but if it is the steel plate of the lateral ankle, it should be taken out in time according to the actual situation, because it may lead to skin necrosis and wound infection.
