(Reading) It is said that there are two deviations of words and no way, but it is not nothing but the middle side. It is clear that existence is called non-existence, and existence and non-existence are always Zen.

(White) I am the Tathagata of the Western Heaven. Now Vimalakirti appears to be ill in the great city of Viyali. I want to order all the great disciples to come and inquire about the illness and talk about the wonderful method.

The Tathagata (White) orders you to deliver the message to the Goddess, and hurry to Vimalakīrti’s chamber to scatter flowers without any mistakes.

Tathagata (white) is exactly:

(Reading) To wake up from a thousand dreams, you must look at the flower of a moment.

(White) Those who have lost their dignity.

Second Scene

(Eight maids lead the goddess to the same place as above.)

The goddess (Erhuang Slow) (Board) Enlightenment of the wonderful way is like waking up from a spring dream,

Suddenly waking up and falling into a dream for a long night;

Enlightenment without cultivation will eventually become a dream,

Only when there is no dream and no awakening can one see the spirit.

(Two reeds open the door.)

Goddess (reading) The cause and effect are boundless, and the wind and fire of the earth are rising again. Eighty-four thousand thieves of worries can capture and control the king of the heart.

(White) I am a goddess. In this land of fragrances, you can pick up flowers and see your true nature. Whenever the Bodhisattvas and great disciples of the heavens and others are talking about the sutras, I will scatter the flower pieces on their bodies, and use them to practice and practice, so that I, the Buddha, can spread the wonderful truth and plant good roots universally. Exactly:

(Thinking) Thousands of flowers will purify karma, and ten thoughts will see the truth.

Jialan (white) The Tathagata has a purpose: order the goddess to quickly go to the great city of Viyali and scatter flowers in the room of the layman Vimalakirti. Please go there.

Jialan (white) is exactly:

Goddess (white) The Tathagata Shicai came here with a purpose. I have been ordered to scatter flowers in the city of Viyali. You can pack the flower baskets neatly and follow me there.

Goddess (White) Waiters, those who change clothes with me.

Flower Slave (White) The Goddess ordered me to pack the flower baskets, so I have to tidy them up a lot!

Jialan (Xipi Rocking Board) Scattered Flowers After the decree has been promulgated,

turn to the Lingshan Mountain to pay homage to Sakyamuni.

(White) I am Jialan. In obedience to the Buddha's decree, I ordered the goddess to go and scatter flowers. Having finished preaching the message, you can’t help but return to the spiritual mountain to enlighten me, the Buddha. Exactly:

(Reading) The seven-layered snare has passed by, and the eighty thousand yojanas are returned in an instant.

Scene 4

The Goddess (Neisipi Guide) The auspicious clouds slowly rise to the sky,

The Goddess (Xipi Adagio) left the fragrant kingdom and traveled across the universe;

The worlds seemed to pass by like a puff of smoke,

In an instant. Came to Bibo Rock.

(Reading) The clear and perfect wisdom of the moon is boundless, and the wisdom and industry are so bright that you will not become an immortal. The solemn appearance appears in the illusion, and the compassion is subtle and natural.

(White) The goddess of heaven is also. In obedience to the Buddha's decree, I went to the Purity Room to scatter flowers. Riding on the wind to control the air, I don’t know how many dusty worlds I have passed through. Look at the rising sun and the scattered colors in the sky. The top of Bibo Mountain is such a beautiful scenery!

(Xipi 26th board) Beyond the clouds, the color of Mount Xumi appears in the sky.

Under Bibo Rock, I feel that the shore is boundless.

The great roc bears the sun and spreads out its divine wings,

The fairy birds of Jialing dance gracefully.

The eight heavenly dragons flashed with golden light,

I also saw the dragon that entered the sea and dived in the waves.

The vast world of Jambudvipa appears,

Putuo Rock emerges from the green mountains.

(White) Stay here! Looking ahead is Nanfanbuzhou, and the Luojia Mountains there are so solemn!

(Xipi flow board) Avalokitesvara's face is full of moon and the beads are open, and there is a good man and a dragon girl standing on both sides.

The eaves of the bodhi tree are covered with thousands of branches of prostrate flowers,

White parrots and fairy birds fly up and down in the Lingyan Temple.

The green willow branches sprinkle nectar on the three thousand realms,

It seems that I have scattered the sky and the flowers are falling in all directions.

My eyes are filled with clear and wonderful scenery, and my eyes are full of aura.

The auspicious clouds and auspicious colors are urging me to rush to the Buddhist site.

Hua Slave (white) Let’s go!

Flower Slave (Xipi Rocking Board) I have gathered nasturtiums from precious trees all over,

The Dharma Cloud will protect me as I descend to the Western Heaven.

(White) I am the flower slave. In obedience to the Buddha's order, I accompanied the goddess to the great city of Viyali and scattered flowers in Vimalakirti Vimalakia's room. Seeing that the goddess has moved forward, I have no choice but to follow her in a hurry!

(Xipi rocking board) The flower basket is filled with ceiling tiles,

Novice monk Jia (reading) becoming a monk People are laughing,

Novice Yi (Bai) Senior brother, what is meditation?

Novice monk (white) Meditating is to sit on a futon and focus on becoming a Buddha, free of all thoughts.

Novice Yi (white) What does it mean to have all your thoughts empty?

Novice monk (white) is not allowed to have any thoughts.

Novice Yi (Bai) Oh, I don’t think about anything, is that possible?

Novice monk (white) If you have worldly thoughts, you cannot become a Buddha.

Novice Yi (white) Hey, I don’t think a monk can really become a Buddha.

How sad it would be if nothing could be done. I can’t do it without meditating.

Simijia (White) Sin, sin. If the elders know about Buddhist disciples like you, they will definitely be kicked out of Buddhism.

Novice Yi (white) What a coincidence, I was just thinking about going out this way. I often think in my mind that there are many people who suffer: some suffer in old age, some suffer in middle age, or else, they suffer in their teens. Anyone who is a monk like us will suffer from pain in his mother's belly. Take me for example. I have been sick since I was a child. My mother, who loves her children, invited a fortune teller to come and calculate my birthday horoscope from left to right. , that gentleman simply saw a ghost!

Simijia (Bai) Why did you see a ghost?

Novice Yi (white) Listen to me: Sir, he said that the son’s horoscopes are so mixed that he has to change his name in order to make a living. It's really sad to say that you are destined to be a solitary demon at the age of 36 or 9. After hearing these words, my parents were so frightened that they came up with the idea, and hurriedly sent me to a Buddhist temple to have my hair cut off, burn incense and worship Buddha, and then I became a monk. After so many years, it’s too late for me to complain. I feel so sad.

Junior brother novice monk Jia (white). What's so sad about this. It was the same when I came here, but now that I have become a monk, I can’t say it anymore!

Novice Yi (White) Alas! Also, when I first entered the temple, my master also said this.

Novice monk (white) What did the master say to you?

Novice Yi (Bai) He said: "Disciple, there are many difficulties in becoming a monk." I said: "Teacher, master, I am willing to become a monk. I think becoming a monk is just about reading sutras and chanting Buddha. What's the difficulty in teaching the Dharma?" The master said, "You don't know that being a monk means you have nothing to gain from wine. You are not allowed to look at the beautiful lady in pink. You sleep alone in the cold on a snowy night, and you have to endure all kinds of hardships and demons in the frosty sky. After many hardships, "Master finally accepted me as his disciple after I repeatedly begged him. well! At that time, I had no idea that being a monk would have so many difficulties!

Novice monk (Bai) Junior brother, you don’t know that monks must practice hard. How can a guy like you, who hangs around in the temple all day long, understand the mysteries of Buddhism? Stop talking nonsense and clean up quickly!

(Vimalakīrti, Part I.)

Vimalakīrti (Introduction) The vast universe is filled with troubles and suffering.

Novice A,

Novice B (Tongbai) See the elders.

Vimalakīrti (white) is all.

Novice A,

Novice B (Tongbai) Yes.

Vimalakirti (Thinking) The Buddha cannot be sought but the heart can be sought, that is, the heart is the Buddha's heart. No mind, no Buddha, no mind Buddha, Buddha mind, four continents.

(White) My name is Vimalakīrti, a layman. Live in this Viyali city. Even though he is dressed in white, he adheres to the pure discipline of the ascetics, makes offerings to countless Buddhas, and deeply cultivates the good book and the eight great Dharma doors. The intention is to use immeasurable conveniences to benefit all sentient beings, and use these conveniences to prevent illness. I think the World-Honored One is so merciful and compassionate that he will certainly have mercy on me. Therefore, I removed all the objects in this room and waited for the Bodhisattvas to come to inquire about my illness, so that I could talk to them about the wonderful Dharma and realize Bodhi together.

Manjushri (read:) My Buddha shows great mercy,

All Bodhisattvas (Think the same thing) Ask about the pure name of the disease.

Everyone (together with Bai): The layman above, I am waiting for you to bow your head.

Vimalakīrti (white) bowed his head. Please take a seat.

Everyone (Tongbai) is sitting down.

Vimalakirti (white) How good! Ma?ju?rī comes without appearance and sees without seeing appearance.

Manjusri (White) If a layman comes, he will never come; if he goes, he will never go. Those who come have nowhere to go, and those who go have nowhere to go. What is visible is even less visible. Let me ask how the layman is doing. The World Honored One asked diligently. What causes this disease among lay people?

Vimalakīrti (White) From delusional love, I become sick, because all sentient beings are sick, so I also get sick; if all sentient beings are not sick, my illness will be cured.

Manjushri (White) How do you say this?

Vimalakirti (White) Alas! Manjushri Bodhisattva, who knows that because of all sentient beings, we enter life and death, and there are illnesses and diseases when there is life and death. If sentient beings are not sick, then Bodhisattvas are not sick either. For example, an elder has only one son. If his son gets sick, his parents will also get sick. If his son recovers from illness, his parents will also recover. A Bodhisattva loves all living beings like a child. When living beings are sick, the Bodhisattva is sick. When living beings are healed, the Bodhisattva is also healed. Bodhisattvas' illnesses are all caused by great compassion.

Manjushri (White) Why do lay people’s diseases have different symptoms?

Vimalakirti (White) My illness is invisible and cannot be seen.

Manjushri (White) Why is this room, layman, empty without an attendant?

Vimalakīrti (white) The lands of all Buddhas are again empty.

Manjushri (White) Ah, layman. How can we say that a Bodhisattva has entered the non-dual Dharma door?

(Vimalakirti is silent.)

Manjushri (white) Alas! Good, good, good. Even without written language, this is the only way to truly enter the Dharma!

The Goddess (inner flower viewing card) Who enlightens the flowers when they emerge from the world?

(Opening.)

Tiannu (flower viewing sign) There are several forks on Pavilion Huayan Road.

Xie Dabei guided Wu Zhe,

It must not be gossip about marriage,

Just because the poor boy has not returned home.

(Thinking) All living beings have eye diseases and see wild flowers, and the diseases of flowers and flowers are getting worse. Now that I realize that the beautiful garland is not my appearance, I might as well play the game of purification.

(The lotus leaves are blown by the wind, and the dragon flowers gather in the sky.)

I have visited the World Honored One and traveled throughout the universe, and I am also busy.

Borrowing a layman's room to put the roots and sprouts,

is worth the gold price of Gion cloth land.

The beauty of the brocade is fake,

I am fooling myself with arrows and arrows,

The vines of Mangling Mountain are hanging on me,

It’s a waste of time Several cassocks.

I only sigh that Buddhism is unable to cure diseases.

How can I count the number of kalpas with just a finger on the sand of the Ganges River?

Half of it is the end of the fire and the extinguishment of the lamp;

It is said that the sea of ??multi-life nature is bright and clear,

The other half is the half-crossing of the wind without a boat to catch it.

This excellent seed of mine,

makes offerings to the Buddhas throughout the Western Buddha Lands.

Just let me play samadhi and play Viya.

Thousands of births and annihilations are also confused and enlightened.

No matter who struggles,

The language must be different.
